  • Several of the images cite fan sites as their source. --ATATatarismall.png 00:47, 18 March 2007 (UTC)
    • OK, Imp, A good deal of the images are from "Dressing a Galaxy," but all of the Images are sourced with ligitamate sources now. Can we get a green light? --Amthyst fire 23:47, 21 March 2007 (UTC)
  • I hate to do this, since this is such excellent work, but, here goes: Galleries. The image should just be in the article...normally. We don't like galleries. There's no info from the comics, though that shouldn't be too hard. I don't know if you can really do anything from the books, since you dont' really know what she's wearing in them. It's not a lot of work, but it needs to be done before I support. .... 01:05, 18 March 2007 (UTC)
    • This is what it would look like with thumbnails instead of the Galeries. How does that suit?--Amthyst fire 07:42, 18 March 2007 (UTC)
  • Rule 1: Irrelevant material on each segment. I don't want an in-depth explanation on what Padme did while she was wearing the outfit. We have her article for that. Atarumaster88 Jedi Order (Audience Chamber) 16:53, 19 March 2007 (UTC)

  • Critique away. I think you'll find it pretty much in order. I know it's an odd choice, but it's a pet project of mine, and, what can I say? The front page needs more weird stuff. Don't be worried about the IDrive template, when it was nominated, it looked like this. That was before. It doesn't need it now. -Solus (Bird of Prey) 00:40, 18 March 2007 (UTC)
  • You'll likely see a few objections, but I'd just like to say that you've done an amazing job on this somewhat unconventional subject. --ATATatarismall.png 00:47, 18 March 2007 (UTC)
    • Thank you very much. For Imp's objection, I wasn't aware that fan sites didn't count as image sources. I'll get to work on that tomorrow. For 4dot's objection... I don't know what to do. LtNOWIS has offered to help me with finding pics of Padmé from the comics, as I only own the Commencement TPB. However, I can't do anything about the galleries. This is a very visual subject, and putting the pictures under each of their headings would look absolutely atrocious. So I don't know what to do about that one. -Solus (Bird of Prey) 03:20, 18 March 2007 (UTC)
      • You might like to use this image also. --Eyrezer 03:58, 18 March 2007 (UTC)
        • I wonder if something like this could work. I've only done one section so far. --Eyrezer 04:07, 18 March 2007 (UTC)
          • I tried this once before [1] but I think something similar would work now, with the expanded text. Maybe?--Amthyst fire 06:07, 18 March 2007 (UTC)
            • This might not be popular, but I would suggest trimming several images. .... 06:26, 18 March 2007 (UTC)
              • I'm working on that now...here...And with the complaining, can I get a better res image of the "Peasant attire"???--Amthyst fire 06:32, 18 March 2007 (UTC)EDIT: I'm not sure what to do with some of the Images, because, while they enhance the understanding of some of the outfits, is there really room for two pictures of basically the same thing?EDIT:The picture for "Gift Dress" hardly shows it at all. While I realize it is a cartoon, and the picture of what is discribed will not do justice to the words, could we at least have said picture?
                • Better, but it's still such an amount for it to disrupt the prose. If the gallerys are fair use, I'll allow them, and then give support when the comic dresses are up. .... 07:58, 18 March 2007 (UTC)
                  • Sorry, .... but this is going to be an image intensive article no mater what we do with it. There's no way around it, but we might be able to get the text to flow well around the pictures, well enough anyway. I personally would like to see more text, but I really don't know how much more waxing poetic about the clothes that she wore I could take. I redid the pics again, now all of the "tall" ones are at 100px. Is that less distracting? --Amthyst fire 09:22, 18 March 2007 (UTC)
                    • In a minute I'll start working on image sourcing and expanding several comic appearances, but I just want you to know that whatever you guys agree on, I'll go with. Personally I prefer galleries, but if that can't be worked with, then oh, well. I know you'll end up agreeing on something, and I know that, whatever the decision, it will have taste, due to several of you (that have a big stick) having a sense of taste. I know you won't go along with something that looks like garbage. PS. As for a better picture of the Peasant disguise, I've looked and can't find anything. I know it stinks but it's the only (full body) pic we got. -Solus (Bird of Prey) 16:51, 18 March 2007 (UTC)
                      • My personal preference would be to get rid of the galleries. I think that they are ugly, and they detract from the flow of the article. I also would like to be able to see what the discription is talking about, right there instead of having to go hunt for it in a gallery. I don't think I'm as peavy about it as fourdot, but I don't think the galleries are entirely necessary. View proposed changes here--Amthyst fire 18:23, 18 March 2007 (UTC)
        • Sorry, Eyrezer but it really just looks like a gallery without the box. --Amthyst fire 18:27, 18 March 2007 (UTC)
          • In all actuality, if I had to choose between Eyrezer's version or Amthyst's, I'd choose Eyrezer's. Less distracting, and the images are right there next to it. Just my preference. Oh, and I think I've taken care of the fan-sited images, if you'll just take a look, Imp. -Solus (Bird of Prey) 19:23, 18 March 2007 (UTC)
            • EDIT: I've added pics and descriptions of the comic appearances known to me, and the dress on the tapestry in The Last Command. Until a format is decided upon or I'm given more pics, I can't really do much anything more. -Solus (Bird of Prey) 20:45, 18 March 2007 (UTC)
  • I love this article, but I do think the intro could be better-written. - breathesgelatinTalk 21:07, 18 March 2007 (UTC)
    • Thank you. Better-written as in length or grammar-wise? -Solus (Bird of Prey) 21:08, 18 March 2007 (UTC)
      • EDIT: I response to your comment, breathes, I just did an intro overhaul. Can you see if it's any better? -Solus (Bird of Prey) 22:00, 18 March 2007 (UTC)
        • Maybe you could break the bigger sections up by content. Specifically, I think the Senator section could be broken into three sections(EP II, CW, and EP III) and then maybe the travel atire into 2: Naboo and not Naboo, although I'd try to think of something else to call it(Ep II and Ep III, maybe too?) That's probably too OOU though. Maybe before and after her marriage? I think that would make the galleries shorter, since everyone seems to have agreed to use them, anyway. I dunno. I can do it if someone else thinks it's a good idea. Amthyst fire 02:31, 20 March 2007 (UTC)
          • While I agree that Senator attire is getting long, dividing it up according to episode and blatantly saying so is too OOU. I'd divide it up, but a 'before and after marriage' kind of division would leave three before marriage and the rest after marriage, a very uneven arrangement, in my opinion. I'm not sure what would go best, I'll let the Inqs figure it out. That's they're job anyhoo. :) -Solus (Bird of Prey) 02:37, 20 March 2007 (UTC)
            • Eh, no big. I'm sure that we could find a good IU explaination for the way that they get split--Maybe before and after she gets pregnant?--Amthyst fire 06:51, 21 March 2007 (UTC)
              • That would be fairly good. I'll see about that. -Solus (Bird of Prey) 13:35, 21 March 2007 (UTC)
                • Because it did not divide it about in half and we don' know for sure when she conceived anyway, I divided it in a before/after Second Battle of Coruscant. If this is not satisfactory, it can be easily changed or reverted. -Solus (Bird of Prey) 16:05, 21 March 2007 (UTC)
                • It is better, and works IU. The sections all seem to be about the same length, sort of. Now the only remaining thing is to source the images properly?--Amthyst fire 16:47, 21 March 2007 (UTC)
  • Image sourcing. A list of Image issues has been compiled, mostly just verify issues. --Amthyst fire 18:12, 21 March 2007 (UTC)
    • Oh, thank you so much! Um, after just a quick skim, I noticed that you believed File:NightgownRobe.jpg to be a screenshot. I'm not sure if it is or not, but I've looked over Dressing a Galaxy a lot and I know that that picture is in there. I wasn't doing a catch-all, I promise. Thanks again. -Solus (Bird of Prey) 18:27, 21 March 2007 (UTC)
      • Your welcome. I think I've seen the book once or twice, but I may be thinking of the visual dictionary of episode 1, which I have seen numerous times. I don't have any idea what it contains, other than the general premise of the book. --Amthyst fire 18:36, 21 March 2007 (UTC)
        • No prob. When you say that an image has 'fill-in-the-blank.com' in the text, that's a history thing saying what it used to say. It's unchangeable. Also, I'm working on finding a better pic of File:Padmefull2GVelvet.jpg, per your understandable complaint. I think I've addressed all of the others... -Solus (Bird of Prey) 18:51, 21 March 2007 (UTC)
          • There, that should do it. I also added a better pic I found of the peasant disguise, and several others. All sourced, of course. -Solus (Bird of Prey) 19:18, 21 March 2007 (UTC)
            • So, now I'm having issues with File:PadmeCW4.jpg, and other than fixing the box on File:Imppal.jpg I think we're done. I'm going to go do that now, it's easy enough. --Amthyst fire 20:27, 21 March 2007 (UTC)
              • Okay. Turns out CW4 was actually fan art... I'll go replace it with a screenshot. -Solus (Bird of Prey) 20:36, 21 March 2007 (UTC)
                • I went and looked on Padawan's Guide, and, it's actually very good fan art. The full image did, acording to the site, only appear on a veggie label. But that's not the image that you have, it's been touched up.--Amthyst fire 20:42, 21 March 2007 (UTC)
                  • It actually is the same fan art, I put it on a gray background because white IMHO causes too much contrast. Anyhoo, I replaced it with a legitimate one. Not full-body, but oh, well. -Solus (Bird of Prey) 20:47, 21 March 2007 (UTC)
                    • You've done a great job with this article Solus. I hope that I've been helpful, in my small ways, and not too much of a bother. I think we are done for the most part, whoo-hoo. On to bigger and badder projects. Maybe the Padmé Amidala Page, which they are threatining to remove FA status from?-Amthyst fire 23:51, 21 March 2007 (UTC)-
                      • Thank you, you've been a huge help. I wouldn't mind tackling Amidala, except I know clothes better than I know people. I'm an Erik Pflueger-esque prose + detail person. However, just cause I've been dared to try... <grabs edit pencil of DOOM> let's do it. -Solus (Bird of Prey) 01:42, 22 March 2007 (UTC)
                        • After a bit more searching, I go a better pic of the Gift dress, and two others from Clone Wars that I didn't include... heh. I think maybe that now it's complete. -Solus (Bird of Prey) 21:31, 22 March 2007 (UTC)
                          • After some thinking, I got to wondering if I should include a section on the handmaidens' wardrobe. Before my brain exploded trying to describe them, I got a sample section going here. I want to know if this is acceptable in lieu of the article. If there is no answer in three days (I am notoriously impatient sometimes.. heh, heh) I will put the section in the article to keep things lively. Spicy, if you will. -Solus (Bird of Prey) 15:42, 23 March 2007 (UTC)
  • I think a small section would be good, but don't go into as great a detail on it. Maybe place a sentence or two on the respective Amidala outfit section about what the handmaidens were wearing. If that makes sense. Atarumaster88 Jedi Order (Audience Chamber) 15:54, 23 March 2007 (UTC)
    • Um, I don't know if I know exactly what you are talking about. Does that mean I put maybe a few sentences in the paragraph relating to the handmaiden/s, and then put a picture of them in the gallery, noting that they are handmaidens? Just a few details that need clarifying, really. I do have the pictures, though, you can just look at the subpage to see them, if you want. If you haven't' already that is. -Solus (Bird of Prey) 19:26, 23 March 2007 (UTC)
      • I was just suggesting that you place a bit on say, Padme's battle dress, about how the other handmaidens wore the same stuff, or whatever. I wouldn't add too many pictures. I dunno- it's up to you. Atarumaster88 Jedi Order (Audience Chamber) 02:46, 24 March 2007 (UTC)
        • Okay... so what your saying is I just add a sentence or two regarding the dresses in the respective dress entry, no pictures. You see, it has to either have all of their pictures or none of them, because of the highly visual content. The only way we could have all of the pictures without it looking terrible is having a section dedicated to it. You know better what an article is to be like, I just write stuff. I'd ask you to choose but I don't want you to feel pressured. However, I can't seem to get any other Inqs' opinion on it, so, if you want to choose, its fine with me. I'm not terribly picky. If you want me to choose I'm pretty sure you know what my choice would be - a separate section. But then, of course, if I had my way, the parts on what she did in the dresses would still be there, and you were right - they were too much 'flab,' if you will. When it comes to featured articles, my opinion isn't worth much - it's difficult for me to tell the difference between good and bad articles most of the time. -Solus (Bird of Prey) 12:24, 24 March 2007 (UTC)
          • Here's what I'll do. Since the Inquisitorius gets most of their business done in our weekly meetings which happen to be in several hours, I'll bring it up at the next one and post the results here. Atarumaster88 Jedi Order (Audience Chamber) 14:45, 24 March 2007 (UTC)
            • Wow. Thank you very much! That's... cool. Thank you again! -Solus (Bird of Prey) 15:25, 24 March 2007 (UTC)

  • No problem, and I should've posted that up here anyways. If you have any general articles that you would like the Inquisitorius to review, there is a section on our forums for that, and we'd be happy to do so, fyi. Atarumaster88 Jedi Order (Audience Chamber) 02:50, 25 March 2007 (UTC)
