  • The page number for CSWE entries should ideally be used in all usages of {{CSWECite}} in the article text.
    • You know, everytime I add them, someone removes them. I don't get why we have that field then. :P I'll add them. JangFett (Talk) 02:55, August 17, 2012 (UTC)
  • In the body, it sounds like the "unfinished orbiting Death Star" can be connected better to Endor, as it's implied that it's orbiting Endor but not directly clarified here.
    • Addressed. JangFett (Talk) 02:55, August 17, 2012 (UTC)
  • "The Rebels later won the Battle of Endor." Did they destroy the Death Star, then, as well as the shield generator bunker? That's definitely relevant to mention, as Dyer was affiliated with both.
    • If you take a look at the comment section below, I am trying to avoid that since I cannot see any alternative. Dyer's was last seen in the bunker and his death is not confirmed. I don't know if it's right to assume that he escaped in time or left when Han blew up the bunker. What do you think? JangFett (Talk) 02:55, August 17, 2012 (UTC)
      • The destruction of the bunker doesn't have to be connected to Dyer at all—I get the unconfirmed connection, but it's just that it should be said in the article that the Death Star/Endor bunker got destroyed. CC7567 (talk) 03:09, August 17, 2012 (UTC)
        • Addressed JangFett (Talk) 03:13, August 17, 2012 (UTC)
  • Would his Force-sensitivity be something to mention in the P&T? CC7567 (talk) 20:09, August 16, 2012 (UTC)
    • Addressed. Basically there's no information other than the card having the words "Force attuned." I changed the instances of Force sensitive to Force attunement to be more accurate with the source and to satisfy Menk's comment below. JangFett (Talk) 02:55, August 17, 2012 (UTC)
DIE er
  • Is it possible to obtain an image of him falling over the railing for the bio? Seems like it would be more relevant (and fun) than the bunker image.
    • I tried, but it's just too damn blurry and not "good looking". JangFett (Talk) 14:53, September 14, 2012 (UTC)
  • Can "Dyer ordered his men to enter the bunker" be sourced to ROTJ? Does Dyer have another line there?
    • Thanks for pointing that out; it was leftover crap from the previous article state. Addressed. JangFett (Talk) 14:53, September 14, 2012 (UTC)
  • The Barrie Holland paragraph doesn't seem like it fits in "Appearance differences," as it's more of an anecdote from the set than any sort of inconsistency. I think it would flow better if it followed the other set anecdote about the Wilhelm scream. Thoughts?
    • Addressed JangFett (Talk) 14:53, September 14, 2012 (UTC)
  • Similarly, since there's an entire subsection dedicated to appearance inconsistencies, I'm wondering if the sentence about him not appearing in the novelizations might fit better there rather than the opening paragraph. Give it a try and let me know what ya think. Menkooroo (talk) 03:52, September 10, 2012 (UTC)
    • Well, that's not really an inconsistency. That subsection is dedicated to the different dialogues and naming of Dyer. JangFett (Talk) 14:53, September 14, 2012 (UTC)

Comments

  • An older GAN of mine that surpassed 1,000 words after much cleanup. JangFett (Talk) 00:45, August 3, 2012 (UTC)
  • On Yodapedia, Sompeetalay said it was unknown if he survived the fall, and if he could escape before the bunker blew up. Of course, that goes against our manual of style, but do you think, as we never see him again, something could be mentioned about the destruction of the bunker? Hanzo Hasashi (talk) 00:51, August 3, 2012 (UTC)
    • Mentioning anything about the successful destruction of the bunker does conflict with Dyer's fate. Since we do not know what happened to him, it would become speculative if I say that the Rebels blew up the bunker after mentioning that Han threw a toolbox at Dyer and he fell over a catwalk. It would seem like Dyer died after all, but it's not confirmed if he did nor do we know if he escaped prior to the destruction of the bunker. JangFett (Talk) 01:03, August 3, 2012 (UTC)
      • Also, on his bio on this French fan website called Starwars-holonet.com, it did mention how Renz was tricked by Han, the destruction of the bunker, etc., and said Dyer's fate was unknown. So I'm thinking possibly mention a condensed version of the outcome of the battle, but obviously no "fate was unknown" stuff. Hanzo Hasashi (talk) 04:04, August 3, 2012 (UTC)
        • For many Death Star II characters (such as the Imperial Advisors) the destruction of the Death Star is mentioned, but it's not supposed to imply their deaths. This is different than the Death Star though, so I might be wrong about adding it. Hanzo Hasashi (talk) 04:20, August 3, 2012 (UTC)
  • I have another question: Isn't Force-attuned a step down from Force-sensitive? I find it fine to pipelink to Force-sensitive, but not sure about simply downright saying he's Force-sensitive sans pipelink in the bio. Hanzo Hasashi (talk) 04:32, August 3, 2012 (UTC)
    • Saying he is Force-attuned would be more accurate. Menkooroo (talk) 04:36, August 3, 2012 (UTC)
  • Just out of curiosity, what did Renz's CSWE entry say about the 501st Legion on Endor? Hanzo Hasashi (talk) 14:37, August 3, 2012 (UTC)
    • Renz was stationed with Dyer and the 501st Legion on Endor. JangFett (Talk) 16:41, August 3, 2012 (UTC)
  • Any reason why the Return of the Jedi radio drama script is not included in his source list, even though it has one of his lines? Hanzo Hasashi (talk) 22:33, August 22, 2012 (UTC)
    • Nevermind, realized that it turned out Han Solo had an extension of his line. Hanzo Hasashi (talk) 22:35, August 22, 2012 (UTC)
