  3. ECvote Axinal's reviews and writing have shown that he is plenty capable. Furthermore, even though it's not allowed anywhere else, self-nomination is, as of right now, anyway, allowed here; so I don't think it's fair to vote against based on that principle. In order to eliminate this in the future, I've gone ahead and started a CT to change the rule in question to match all the others on our site. Jonjedigrandmaster (Talk) 22:10, April 14, 2011 (UTC)
  4. ECvote A great user and a future WotM.Kilson(Let's have a chat) 00:22, April 15, 2011 (UTC)
  5. ECvote After taking a look at his work on the CAN, I think he will be a great EC. 1358 (Talk) 09:44, April 17, 2011 (UTC)
  6. ECvote I gave this a bit more time before voting to take a look at his reviews, and they look great. Grunny (talk) 10:06, April 17, 2011 (UTC)
Oppose
  1. While I have no doubt Axinal counts as a quality reviewer, most regular Wookieepedians do, I am against self-nomination on principle and he should review more than "a few" short ones before admittance to this list. NaruHina Talk Anakinsolo 23:15, April 13, 2011 (UTC)
    • I'd just like to stress that this being a self-nomination is not a reason I voted against Axe. I'm on the CAN page quite a bit, so I can say that, unless there were a lot of quick passes, at nomination time I could probably count articles he reviewed on three hands (IIFD, I'm not investigating this). If that were not true, I would have voted for him and still mentioned my distaste for this practice. NaruHina Talk Anakinsolo 00:11, April 15, 2011 (UTC)
      • Your reasons are entirely valid, Naru. Your "three hands" estimate is probably correct; I think I am qualified for the EC, but it is perfectly understandable that you'd like to see my name more regularly on the nominations page before voting for me. I appreciate your honesty, and if I am not voted into the EC on this vote, I am entirely prepared to wait patiently and review more regularly until another user sees fit to nominate me again.—Axinal Convocation Chamber 00:31, April 15, 2011 (UTC)
    • ECvote Per Naru. OLIOSTER (talk) 23:31, April 13, 2011 (UTC)
      • I would like to stress that this being a self-nomination IS the reason I voted against, though I have nothing against Axinal. People may not think too highly of the EduCorps, but I still think its nominations should only be based on the merits others see in you. OLIOSTER (talk) 10:12, April 17, 2011 (UTC)
        • Isn't that what the votes are for? To show whether or not you see merit in the person by supporting or opposing, not in the nomination style? It's not against policy on this page to self-nom, so I don't see why that should be a reason to hold him back. Lack of experience, sure. Putting his hand up to help out, no. Grunny (talk) 10:20, April 17, 2011 (UTC)
          • I just have a problem with self-nomination, but since you have pointed out that this is currently not against policy, I feel its best if I simply strike my vote and abstain. OLIOSTER (talk) 10:28, April 17, 2011 (UTC)
  2. Per NaruGTQ 00:36, April 15, 2011 (UTC)
  3. Not enough reviewing or promoting of CAs for me to support him. Yet. If I saw this after a few months of work I would support it. Holocron Greatholocron (Complain) 05:30, April 16, 2011 (UTC)
  4. Per the "not yet" arguments, especially as noone has stated a need for extra EC members. Axinal, do not let the opposing votes to slow you down, keep up the good work. (: –Tm_T (Talk) 06:05, April 16, 2011 (UTC)
Neutral
  1. I'll be honest, while I don't doubt Axinal's reviewing capabilities, since he has claimed that he has only a few reviews under his belt, that short resumé is what is deterring me from supporting his nomination. However, since those few reviews were prolly quite thorough reviews, I'm not yet ready to oppose the nomination, so I am staying neutral. If he makes it, then good luck to him. Always good to have more reviewers. Perhaps I can then borrow his reviewing skills for my own evil ends an article or two. Trak Nar Ramble on 00:22, April 15, 2011 (UTC)

  • I don't think I can devote the time necessary to review Good and Featured articles on a regular basis, so I don't think the AgriCorps or the Inquisitorius is right for me. However, after reviewing a couple of short CANs, I've decided I'm interested in joining the EduCorps.—Axinal Convocation Chamber 03:32, April 6, 2011 (UTC)
