- Very clearly the trooper is a male, if he was female he would have a different chest plate. I have used the logic of the duck test with apparently human characters to state that apparently male characters are male whether or not any source states it (his card image I am using as the source for his being male). - I don't know... Without getting too far away from a PG rating, I don't think a lack of a different chest plate is good enough to call this character male... ~ SavageBob 03:43, November 23, 2010 (UTC)
- The gender thing is even more obvious than the the duck test on apparently human characters. With the apparently human characters, there is no reason why they could not be Changelings or among the various Near-Human species such as Hapans or Lorrdians. Unlike the duck test, a stormtrooper's chestplate alone is enough to determine the gender, it is common sense. Hanzo Hasashi 05:32, November 29, 2010 (UTC)
- Since you're requiring me to spell it out, no, I've met plenty of women who could fit into a regular stormtrooper chestplate. ~ SavageBob 06:14, November 30, 2010 (UTC)
- Upon actually seeing canonical female stormtroopers as opposed to the real-world costumes, such as the action figure of Jes Gistang while she's in armor, I have to admit that it is not that easy to determine a stormtrooper's gender without hearing the character's voice. - We also shouldn't assume that the Legacy-era stormtrooper armor is the same as the Rebellion-era armor, FWIW. ~ SavageBob 01:55, December 1, 2010 (UTC)
