Major Character Birth Years on Keeper of the Holocron — Leland Chee's StarWars.com Blog (original site is defunct): Leland Chee, the person in charge of the Lucasfilm Ltd.'s Holocron continuity database, said that Han Solo was born in 29 BBY. The New Essential Guide to Characters states that Solo left his master, Garris Shrike, at the age of nineteen, an event that happened shortly before Han Solo had the reedox-stew.
