    - The Alliance's existence dates are quite slippery; its official foundation was 2 BBY, but the term "Rebel Alliance" was in use as far back as 5 BBY. Regarding its ending date, different sources have placed the founding of the New Republic to 4 ABY and 5 ABY. This is all somewhat tangential anyway, I don't think the Alliance's years of existence are really relevant here. For example Intelligence doesn't mention the Galactic Empire's time period, and Task Force Organa doesn't mention dates for the Alliance's existence either.         Sorry, I thought you were talking about the Alliance's dates, not the Imperial Era in general. Added. (The book does mention the reign of the galactic empire, so no separate reference is needed). ThrawnChiss7 ^{Assembly Cupola}
