The date reference should be changed from "in 40 BBY" to "around 40 BBY." Master & Apprentice doesn't give Obi-Wan's exact age; hypothetically, if he was born exactly 57 years before the Battle of Yavin, and he's like 17 and a half in M&A, then the book could technically be set in 39 BBY.- Cwedin(talk) 15:19, February 24, 2020 (UTC)- The book doesn’t say he’s seventeen and a half - it seems to establish that he is just seventeen, through it’s several mentions of specifically just seventeen years old, and that he’d begun training four years prior, at thirteen. Personally, since the novel says he’s seventeen, I think that’d be good to stick to, instead of what might be/could be, given that the Yavin battle is the anchor point of the dating system, flat dating to it should work quite well. Unless the mission to Pijal takes place on his birthday, he's not 17 exactly. Even if he was 17.01 years old, the book could still be set in 39.99 BBY. There's room for up to a six-month overlap.
