  • Hmm. I'm not sure an image of an action figure can be considered canonical. I think the design of the action figure is fair game and canon, but the image that's being used in this infobox is basically making the statement, "Palso Thern stood in this exact pose at some point in galactic history." Since it's essentially an image of a representation of him, I think it can only go in BTS.
    • So should the photo from the movie be considered the canon one? And what about Oxixo's photo, as AFAIK he only appears as an action figure, unless some later source confirms he is also in the movie.
      • Uploaded a cropped photo from the film. Hanzo Hasashi 23:16, March 5, 2011 (UTC)
        • The image is too small for the infobox... Would it be possible to just include the group shot with him in it? ~ SavageBob 17:48, March 6, 2011 (UTC)
          • Meaning uncropped? Hanzo Hasashi 17:59, March 6, 2011 (UTC)
            • Yeah, that one. ~ SavageBob 16:00, March 7, 2011 (UTC)
  • Also, I replied to your query on my talk page; yes, he does seems to appear in the PhotoComic, but only from the neck down thanks to some wonky panel cropping. ~ SavageBob 20:54, March 5, 2011 (UTC)
    • Thanks. Hanzo Hasashi 22:37, March 5, 2011 (UTC)
  • Another thing: If the toy image stays in the article, it needs to be properly sourced: It's originally from the Hasbro "Battle over Endor" pack. ~ SavageBob 16:00, March 7, 2011 (UTC)
    • Alright, will do that. Hanzo Hasashi 18:53, March 7, 2011 (UTC)

  • I don't think that there's anything wrong with using action figures as IU images --- I've seen it done before in non-status and status articles alike. The "stood in this exact pose at some point" argument doesn't really work, else we wouldn't be able to use promotional posed photographs. The action figure image is much better quality than that ROTJ screencap; I'd rather see it in the infobox, personally. Community: Thoughts? Menkooroo 12:04, March 6, 2011 (UTC)
    • It's been my personal practice not to use promotional photos unless some other source "canonizes" them first. For instance, CSWE includes lots of promo photos, which, in my opinion, takes them form the promo land to canon. I'd hold to the same standard with action figure photos, personally. ~ SavageBob 17:46, March 6, 2011 (UTC)
      • Site policy and the community at large have no problem with promo shots, though, so if others want to go ahead and use them, there are no real grounds for objection. Menkooroo 00:00, March 8, 2011 (UTC)
        • Where is there a policy one way or the other? ~ SavageBob 00:51, March 8, 2011 (UTC)
        • At any rate, I've struck this objection. I don't think there is a policy on this, but I know other articles have used miniatures images (albeit ones that I would argue have been canonized), so the question becomes "does a photo on the back of a toy box canonize the image?" In the lack of policy, I'll give it the benefit of the doubt. ~ SavageBob 23:35, March 8, 2011 (UTC)
        • Oh, and all that's a long way around to saying that Hanzo should feel free to swap the toy image back into the infobox if he wants. :) ~ SavageBob 23:55, March 8, 2011 (UTC)
          • Which I myself personally want over that group image. :) Hanzo Hasashi 04:24, March 9, 2011 (UTC)
  • Good work! A couple of notes: I shrunk the infobox image, as it looked blurry and not so great at 250px. If a picture is pretty small and isn't infobox size then it's OK to leave it at its original size. Also, keep an eye on this page over the coming months; if Rebelscum gets their hands on and makes pages for the "Battle over Endor" figures, definitely grab the URL and use Template:HasbroCite in this article. Menkooroo 04:28, March 9, 2011 (UTC)
    • Thanks. I will try to do that. And I will also shrink Oxixo's infobox image too. :) Hanzo Hasashi 04:30, March 9, 2011 (UTC)
