Object

QGJ
  • Per rule 8, redlinks are not allowed
    • Will take care of Ikkrukians.
      • Done.
  • Context needed for Jessika Pava.
    • Do you mean in the quote?
    • Nvm, figured out what you meant. Does that look better?
  • Not sure about using a website for ref 2. Can we find a better source for this? Regardless, the link needs a backup link.
    • I pulled that link off of the page for the First Order and assumed it was permissible. Should I remove the link all together, and just leave it as a case of one of the things that doesn't need to be linked anywhere, per "Wookieepedia is not a dictionary" rule?
      • So, the thing about this term is that it can be considered a dictionary term and might not require additional sourcing. Personally, I would prefer to find some source akin to Star Wars: The Force Awakens: The Visual Dictionary, that uses that name. Regardless, the link that you are currently using will have to be removed. We either cite it to an actual source or don't cite at all. For now, I'm going to strike this objection and wait what other users have to say on this topic. QuiGonJinn Senate seal(Talk) 21:56, September 17, 2018 (UTC)
        • I just went ahead and removed the link to Wikipedia. As for the source, you said the TFA Visual Dictionary also uses the term?Fan26 (Talk) 14:49, September 18, 2018 (UTC)
          • I don't know if it uses the term. I just gave an example of a book that might use it. I'm saying that if you can find a source that does use it, then it would be great. QuiGonJinn Senate seal(Talk) 06:17, September 19, 2018 (UTC)
            • I don't own any TFA-related reference book, save for the updated character encyclopaedia, and I am ninety percent certain the term is never used in that. I'm thinking maybe I should just remove it. Fan26 (Talk) 16:34, September 19, 2018 (UTC)
              • I think this requires input from other users. Maybe drop by on IRC sometime and ask around what other people think regarding this term needing a citation or not. If the general consensus will be that it is a dictionary term, then you can just keep it without an additional ref. QuiGonJinn Senate seal(Talk) 06:10, September 20, 2018 (UTC)
                • Unfortunately, I've never really been able to get IRC to work for me. I log in w/ WP username & passcode, but it won't let me in. Any suggestions? Fan26 (Talk) 20:31, September 22, 2018 (UTC)
                  • Your WP username and password do not automatically work for IRC. You have to register there separately. The process is described in the WP:IRC page that I linked above. If you have further difficulties with IRC usage, contact me or someone else via talk page, since this objection thread is starting to get off-topic. QuiGonJinn Senate seal(Talk) 16:13, September 23, 2018 (UTC)
                    • Ah, I must've missed that, thanks. Fan26 (Talk) 16:51, September 23, 2018 (UTC)
                      • Tommy thought that context for the Resistance and FO seemed superfluous, so all of that, including link, has been removed. Fan26 (Talk) 15:06, October 1, 2018 (UTC)
  • Bts needs to be sourced.
    • Done.
  • 34 ABY date needs another source. It is not stated in the comic AFAIK.
    • Will take care of that.
      • Done.
  • Hunter killer droids (or Hunter/killer droid, depending on the spelling) previously appeared in the Legends continuity, which should be noted in the Bts. QuiGonJinn Senate seal(Talk) 14:08, September 17, 2018 (UTC)
    • I thought about that, but there are several different versions of that model (some from KOTOR 1 and 2, some from KOTOR comics, some from SWTOR, and others still from elsewhere) and I am not familiar with all of the different droids. Which ones are you talking about, or should I list them all? Fan26 (Talk) 14:15, September 17, 2018 (UTC)
      • Be creative with your wording. You can say something along the lines of "The concept of a hunter-killer droid originated in the Star Wars Legends continuity, with several different types of droids bearing that name being portrayed in ......" There you go, I've basically just constructed the sentence for you. It would be better if you can say it in your own words, though. QuiGonJinn Senate seal(Talk) 21:56, September 17, 2018 (UTC)
        • At Tommy's suggestion, I created Hunter-killer, a disambaguation page, and noted as such in the BTS section. Fan26 (Talk)
          • That Bts sentence needs to be sourced, though. QuiGonJinn Senate seal(Talk) 16:59, October 1, 2018 (UTC)
            • Done. Fan26 (Talk) 17:42, October 1, 2018 (UTC)
  • As there is a possibility that the droids might appear in the next issue, I'm going to pause my review until that issue will have been released. Also, the above objection regarding the Bts note still stands. Just a heads-up for you. QuiGonJinn Senate seal(Talk) 06:10, September 20, 2018 (UTC)
    • I am aware. I have not handled it yet as the word count is very close to 250, and should they appear in Poe Dameron 31, it will push it over towards GA nom instead. Fan26 (Talk) 17:18, September 20, 2018 (UTC)
Tommy
  • "The hunter-killer droid was a type of security droid utilized by the Ikkrukkians during the New Republic Era that was used in conjunction with orbital and ground-based cannons to form Ikkrukk's defenses, which Resistance pilot Jessika Pava believed was a reason why General Leia Organa of the Resistance dispatched Black Squadron to the planet in an attempt to secure allies." This is massive, please split it up into smaller sentences.
    • Split, bit on Resistance moved-more on that below.
  • Could we please get some context for: Ikkrukkians, Ikkrukk, Black Squadron, and as you have some for the First Order, you may as well give some for the Resistance. Tommy Imperial Emblem Macaroni 16:18, September 17, 2018 (UTC)
    • Noted Ikkrukians as native species, Ikkrukk as in the Mid Rim, and Black Squadron as elite. I feel that adding anything else to any of the three would be unhelpful to the article. As for the Resistance, I added context, but it began to feel out-of-place at the top of the article, so I moved it to the bottom and split it up. I still feel like something might be wrong with it as is, please look it over again and tell me if you have any advice. Fan26 (Talk) 17:16, September 17, 2018 (UTC)
      • On second thought, the FO and resistance context isn't really necessary, are readers should be aware of who they are. I've removed it for you. Tommy Imperial Emblem Macaroni 16:13, September 19, 2018 (UTC)
  • For the date:
    • I'm not sure about that date note. What if TFA took place on the last day of 34 ABY? I think it's best to say "around 34 ABY" or something.
      • Done.
    • "confirmed" By who, where? Don't just say confirmed without saying where.
      • It's never outright confirmed-just implied given where it seems to take place in the timeline. Updated ref to include that.
        • I've simplified it for you. Please make sure all the key info still remains. Tommy Imperial Emblem Macaroni 17:27, September 18, 2018 (UTC)
          • It does, thanks.
    • Please make sure you're linking to everything inside ref notes. Tommy Imperial Emblem Macaroni 19:47, September 17, 2018 (UTC)
      • Done.—Unsigned comment by Fan26 (talk • contribs)
  • Does the resistance's visit take place after the First Order's attack? If so, that should be specified in the article. Tommy Imperial Emblem Macaroni 17:27, September 18, 2018 (UTC)
    • Black Squadron arrives as the Maxima-A cruiser is pounding the shield.—Unsigned comment by Fan26 (talk • contribs)
      • Are you gonna add that to the article then? Also, I'm gonna hold off on reviewing further incase these things appear in the next issue, as the battle is still ongoing. Tommy Imperial Emblem Macaroni 17:42, September 18, 2018 (UTC)
        • Is it really relevant to go further in-depth on the state of the battle in a article about a droid model whose deactivation allowed the battle to happen? As for the possibility of an appearance in the series finale, good point. We'll have to wait and see.—Unsigned comment by Fan26 (talk • contribs)
          • I'm just looking for a time connective. Tommy Imperial Emblem Macaroni 19:18, September 18, 2018 (UTC)
            • A little blurb clarifying that Black Squadron arrived while the attack was already happening? Fan26 (Talk) 19:29, September 18, 2018 (UTC)
              • Done. Fan26 (Talk) 19:38, September 18, 2018 (UTC)
  • With so many hunter/killer variants (see the top of here), I think it may be prudent to create a disambiguation page. Say, Hunter-killer? Tommy Imperial Emblem Macaroni 16:33, September 19, 2018 (UTC)
    • Done. Fan26 (Talk) 14:59, October 1, 2018 (UTC)
  • Ikkrukkian government is infobox exclusive.
    • Done.
  • We generally don't link to disambig pages in article bodies. Please remove it.Tommy Imperial Emblem Macaroni 17:30, October 1, 2018 (UTC)
    • Removed. Fan26 (Talk) 17:49, October 1, 2018 (UTC)
Ruiz30
  • The date August 15, 2018 can't be source at the comic itself, since the date is not included on the actual comic. Please replace it with a source that includes this date. I recommed using the date source used at Poe Dameron 30: The Awakening, Part V article--DarthRuiz30 (talk) 06:53, September 19, 2018 (UTC)
    • Done. Fan26 (Talk) 16:31, September 19, 2018 (UTC)

  • Issue 31 does not include them. When O have tome, I will finally adress the objections. Thanks for your patience. Fan26 (Talk) 14:35, September 27, 2018 (UTC)
