Castor

  • Nominated by: JediMasterMacaroni(Talk) 05:19, 29 December 2022 (UTC)
  • Nomination comments: The way the story uses "they" is a little ambiguous, but going with non-binary as their gender for now after consulting with WP:Pride. Not entirely sure if a ref is needed for that...
  • WookieeProject (optional): WP:THR

Manoof
  • Any reason why you've a separate reference to say they're non-binary, since we don't do the same for male or female characters... Manoof (he/him/his) RainbowRebellion2 09:38, 3 January 2023 (UTC)
    • I had seen some other admittedly non-status characters do it (Ceret, Ginruda), though I'm unsure of the general practice/precedent. What do you think?
  • If the starlight beacon is affiliated with the republic/Jedi, can we not say the same for the gardener who worked on the facility? Manoof (he/him/his) RainbowRebellion2 09:38, 3 January 2023 (UTC)
    • Added. JediMasterMacaroni(Talk) 19:19, 3 January 2023 (UTC)
DFaceG
  • Running the risk of conflicting with Manoof's first edit, are we certain the use of "they" is enough to confirm Castor as non-binary? It can also be used to indicate ambiguity. - Thannus (DFaceG) (he/him) (talk) 09:25, 6 January 2023 (UTC)
    • That's what I'm going with for now, though you're right, it's not 100% - it's currently being discussed in the pride channel on Discord. JediMasterMacaroni(Talk) 15:51, 6 January 2023 (UTC)
      • I would say exclude mention of them being non-binary for now, for no reason other than what appears to be a lack of confirmation at the moment. - Thannus (DFaceG) (he/him) (talk) 18:45, 7 January 2023 (UTC)
