"I am not one of you! I am AC!"
—The AC when asked for favors

Meeting Eleven of the AgriCorps will be held on Sunday, July 19th at 5PM Eastern Time (EDT). Summer is here and we're dealing with the number of noms well. We're continuing with review requests so add articles for review as necessary.

Agenda

Chopping block

Vote on whether to keep or remove probed articles from Meeting 10:

New victims

Expand as needed.

  • Watto: tagged with Update notice. CC7567 (talk) 18:57, 29 June 2009 (UTC)
  • Can I suggest Vuvrian? Based on the references, it appears to be lacking material on a number of appearances, such as the 2 NJO books, the Living Force adventure, and the Shadowfeed. --Eyrezer 11:34, 6 July 2009 (UTC)

Discussion

  • I know I am not an AC member, but I was thinking about the requirements for GAs compared to FAs and ran into a discrepancy with the redlink policy. My request, therefore, is to ask the AC to consider a no redlink policy for introductions to GAs. While the policy was enacted for FAs which grace the front page, but I believe it should be extended to GAs as well. My reasoning is as follows: With the random GA feature on the front page, visitors and guests to our site should be able browse these articles without the ugly impediment of a redlink in the intro. Especially when I first started on this site, but even now, I still browse articles by reading the introduction to see if it sparks interest. A redlink should not be a stumblingblock to our readers. Just a suggestion. Thanks for considering it. Fiolli {Alpheridies University ComNet} 16:44, 1 July 2009 (UTC)
    • I agree that some kind of redlink rule should be created, as opposed to our extremely general ruling, which states that a GAN must not have an "excessive amount" of redlinks, which really means nothing at all given how open to interpretation that wording is. Ultimately, any decision like this would need to go through CT. Toprawa and Ralltiir 16:48, 1 July 2009 (UTC)
      • Perhaps we could at least talk about creating a CT for this. Chack Jadson (Talk) 20:36, 8 July 2009 (UTC)
  • Following the extended use of the nomination subpages, it looks like it's going to be time to reassess their usefulness. The options on what to do with them are open to discussion, but some decision should be reached—our current "system" for deciding to use subpages isn't good for prolonged use on future nominations, quite simply because there isn't one. If we decide to keep on using them, we need to obtain requirements for a nomination to be moved to a subpage. CC7567 (talk) 07:40, 6 July 2009 (UTC)
  • New member proposal: Jonjedigrandmaster. Graestan(Talk) 02:02, 14 July 2009 (UTC)
