- Changes were recently made to a number of TCW-related articles regarding dates, but the referencing used for these changes is inadequate. This is one example of the changes made. The problem here is that neither Chatter nor his single comic appearance are mentioned in The Essential Reader's Companion, so however the user is coming to the conclusion that these events take place in 22 BBY is nebulous. The reasoning behind this date needs to be explicitly explained in a reference note. Moreover, wherever a character's death date is being sourced to 22 BBY, The Essential Reader's Companion likewise cannot alone be used a reference for this information. ERC does not say that Chatter died in 22 BBY. One proper way to reference this, as exemplified here, is to use two references, one supporting that the character died, and another, such as ERC, supporting the date for the story in which the character died. Another option is a manual reference note explaining that the character died in X story, and then explain why and according to which sources X story takes place in 22 BBY. I'm listing below the articles I currently see with one or both of these problems:
- Toluz Cheq
- Bouncer (clone trooper)
- Chatter
- Knuckles (182nd Legion)
- Recon
- Marrt
- RB-551
- Resilient (Venator-class)
- Swift (clone trooper)
- Stripe. Toprawa and Ralltiir (talk) 02:00, August 13, 2015 (UTC)
- As an addendum, we've used sources like The Essential Reader's Companion (and before that, Star Wars Annual 2011) to provide approximate dates for TCW material, but it's no longer acceptable to cite the Reader's Companion as a source without explaining the specific reasoning behind it. See Template:TCWdates for examples of dates with proper explanations of the deductive reasoning that refers to them. CC7567 (talk) 02:10, August 13, 2015 (UTC)
- Everything should be fixed now, as best as it was possible, provided the little timeline indication that we had regarding most of those articles. In the future, though, some kind of talk page notification regarding so many articles being put under review would be appreciated. Not everyone regularly checks these meeting pages or has them added to the watchlist. QuiGonJinn

- I've got stuff to do.--Exiled Jedi (talk) 17:00, August 29, 2015 (UTC)
I fail, but at least I leave notes
- Exiled Jedi
- Kill: Shapers of Kro Var, J8Q-128 Finbat Missile
- Extend: Zybahhod Yenyoni (A lot of the sourcing for the EAOC is incomplete. The explanatory reference from the BTS should be used. "of the southern-eastern portion of the Outer Rim Territories." This part might need additional referencing as well.)
- Probe: Toluz Cheq, Bouncer (clone trooper), Chatter, Knuckles (182nd Legion), Recon, Marrt, RB-551, Resilient (Venator-class), Swift (clone trooper). Stripe, Kao Cen Darach
- Tope has my vote for anything else that comes up.--Exiled Jedi (talk) 17:00, August 29, 2015 (UTC)
