  • Changes were recently made to a number of TCW-related articles regarding dates, but the referencing used for these changes is inadequate. This is one example of the changes made. The problem here is that neither Chatter nor his single comic appearance are mentioned in The Essential Reader's Companion, so however the user is coming to the conclusion that these events take place in 22 BBY is nebulous. The reasoning behind this date needs to be explicitly explained in a reference note. Moreover, wherever a character's death date is being sourced to 22 BBY, The Essential Reader's Companion likewise cannot alone be used a reference for this information. ERC does not say that Chatter died in 22 BBY. One proper way to reference this, as exemplified here, is to use two references, one supporting that the character died, and another, such as ERC, supporting the date for the story in which the character died. Another option is a manual reference note explaining that the character died in X story, and then explain why and according to which sources X story takes place in 22 BBY. I'm listing below the articles I currently see with one or both of these problems:
