The Wookiee projectile rifle was a primitive slugthrower rifle used and produced by Wookiees on Kashyyyk. The rifle utilized the explosive force produced by a chemical product or compressed gas to propel its projectiles at high speeds. The weapon had an effective range of 300 meters and was made in-part with bronzium.[1]

In 19 BBY, towards the end of the Clone Wars between the Galactic Republic and the Confederacy of Independent Systems,[3] the Wookiee projectile rifle was used by the Wookiee Army's Wookiee warriors during the battle on their homeworld.[2]

Behind the scenes

The Wookiee projectile rifle first appeared, albeit unnamed, in Star Wars: Episode III Revenge of the Sith.[2] It was later named in Altaya's "Blasters and Ranged Weapons" reference book, released exclusively in France on February 23, 2021.[1]
