Wookiee luau was a type of food that gave off a strong smell when cooked. The dish was related to the Wookiee[1] species of the planet Kashyyyk,[2] and could be found on the Galactic Empire's capital planet Coruscant[1] around 18 BBY.[3] Around that year, the Sullustan reporter Den Dhur smelled Wookiee luau cooking in the open air while he was in Ploughtekal Market on Coruscant.[1]

Wookiee luau first appeared as a smell in Coruscant Nights II: Street of Shadows, a 2008 novel written by Michael Reaves.[1]
