Whee Tillatch was a Yarkora male who was a member of the criminal syndicate Black Sun. Having attained the rank of Vigo, Tillatch and the rest of the Black Sun leadership were brutally slaughtered during an attack by the Sith Lord Darth Maul.
Biography
A male Yarkora, Whee Tillatch became involved in the criminal organization Black Sun, eventually rising through the ranks and attaining the title vigo, making him one of the nine lieutenant of the syndicate. To protect him, Tillatch employed bodyguards to ensure his safety, escorted by personal guards at all time.[4]
In 33 BBY, the vigos of Black Sun unknowingly became the targets of the Dark Lord of the Sith Darth Sidious and his master, Darth Plagueis. Due to time restraints, the Sith would not be able to hunt down the vigos separately and kill them; instead the Sith would need to lure them together so they could die at once. Ordering his apprentice Darth Maul to hunt down two vigos at first, Sidious anticipated Black Sun leader Alexi Garyn to order the survivors to a single location.[5]
Indeed, after the Zabrak assassin had killed Vigos Morn and Darnada Garyn summoned the remaining vigos, including Tillatch, to his fortress on Ralltiir. When the vigos had all gathered, Darth Maul infiltrated the fortress and slaughtered all the guards before making his way into the central chamber the vigos had congregated in. One by one Maul cut down the guards before executing the vigos. During the fighting, Maul murdered Tillatch with his lightsaber.[2]
Behind the scenes
Tillatch's appearance was based on unused concept art from Star Wars: Episode I The Phantom Menace.[6]
Tillatch's species has been debated since his appearance. However, artist Jan Duursema has revealed that "Whee Tillatch is meant to be Yakora [sic]" when asked if he was a Yarkora.[3]

Major Character Birth Years on Keeper of the Holocron — Leland Chee's StarWars.com Blog (original site is defunct), Leland Chee established that the Invasion of Naboo started on 3:4:14 GrS (on the basis of a 12-month calendar). The comics Star Wars: Darth Maul set its story 6 months before the Invasion of Naboo. The events of Star Wars: Darth Maul can therefore be dated in 2:10 GrS. Per the reasoning here, 2:10 can be placed in the second half of 33 BBY.
