The Westhill cliffs was a rock formation that overlooked the city of Canto Bight on Cantonica. The cliffs were home to the Westhill Palace, a luxurious residence that had been owned by numerous wealthy residents.[1]
During 3 ABY,[2] the palace was owned by the Zerek Besh criminal syndicate leader Sliro Barsha. During that same year a group of rebels led by Dennion hired a local thief named Kay Vess to break into the palace. They dropped Vess off on the cliffs a short distance from the palace. After Vess made her way along the cliffs to the palace the rebels launched a diversionary attack on the palace. Vess was able to make it to the palace's vault however she discovered that instead of stealing credits the group was freeing a fellow rebel named Asara Deyn. After being left behind by the rebels, Vess was discovered by Sliro, however she was able to escape in a stole EML-850 light freighter called the Trailblazer.[1]
Later that same year, Vess was hired by Jaylen Vrax to once again break into the palace's vault but to actually steal the contents this time. Vess was dropped out near the cliffs on this second attempt but instead she made her way into the palace through maintenance tunnels.[1]
