Weggit Self-Defence

Weggit Self-Defence was a weapons shop in Doom City on Coruscant.^[1]

Like many of Doom City's shops, Weggit Self-Defence functioned as a pawnbroker and a fence for stolen goods, and much of their stock was obtained this way.^[1]

Prices could be negotiated by haggling, or if buyers lacked the necessary credits, the shop could offer a loan, sometimes at punitive rates of interest.^[1]

Behind the scenes

Weggit Self-Defence appears in Il faut sauver Miss Pickalho, a French-language scenario for Star Wars: The Roleplaying Game which appeared in Casus Belli magazine in March 1999. As this material was not approved through the Lucas Licensing process, it is considered non-canon.

The implicit purpose of its presence in the scenario is to allow players' characters to obtain equipment they might need.

In the original French-language text, the name of the establishment is Weggit Autodéfense.^[1]
