Weather balloons were balloons used for collecting weather information. Weather balloons around the Koboh Observatory were also used to collect moisture and steer clouds away to improve visibility.[1] Jedi Knight Cal Kestis grappled to several balloons to infiltrate the Observatory. Kestis believed the balloons around the observatory looked modified, which he thought was for the high altitude.[2]
