«In my experience, there is little that can be learned from simply observing the casings of electronic equipment. […] Particularly since the labeling will all be in your script, which undoubtedly is unknown to us. Your navigational equipment can of course be shrouded to prevent me from obtaining any clues to your world's location.»
―Senior Captain Mitth'raw'nuruodo to Captain Fsir[1]

The Watith species utilized a script unknown to the Chiss species.[1] Around 18 BBY,[2] the script could be found aboard Watith Captain Fsir's freighter Saltbarrel, inscribed in containers of electronic equipment.[1]

Behind the scenes

Watith sript was mentioned in the 2021 novel Thrawn Ascendancy: Greater Good, the second volume in Timothy Zahn's Star Wars: The Ascendancy Trilogy.[1]
