- "It was exquisite. Light and perfect with the tiniest tang of sea salt to offset the sweet."
- ―Mon Mothma recalling the watervine peach
The watervine peach was a rare fruit from a region of its homeworld. The peach grew on orchards and was sweet with a slight taste of salt. It was a favorite of Mon Mothma's during her childhood.[1] Years prior to 3 ABY,[2] the locals refused to shift all of the supply of the watervine peach to an Imperial officer who liked the fruit. As a result, the Galactic Empire torched the orchards and destroyed the supply, leaving the galaxy without the watervine peach.[1]
Behind the scenes
The watervine peach appeared in the fourty-sixth issue of the 2020 Star Wars comic series. The issue was written by Charles Soule, illustrated by Madibek Musabekov,[1] and published by Marvel Comics on May 22, 2024.[3]
