- «I'm sending my warriors to hide in the catacombs.»
- ―Archduke Poggle the Lesser to Count Dooku, during the Battle of Geonosis
The warrior caste was a caste of Geonosians dedicated to warfare. Members of the caste were known as Geonosian warriors,[3] Geonosian soldier drones,[1] Geonosian drones,[4] or simply Geonosian soldiers. Geonosian soldiers were the only type of Geonosian drone that had functional wings.[1] They possessed tough exoskeletons that gave them protection from injury.[3]
Description
The Geonosian drones made up the lowest castes of their hives, and they served ruling Geonosian queens and aristocrats, as soldiers, laborers and capable pilots.[4] One type of warrior[5] was the Geonosian royal guard, who would serve as bodyguards for an important officials.[6]
The Geonosian drones were clever warriors, who fought with sonic blasters and force pikes. They were skilled in armed and unarmed combat and flight.[4] Their tough exoskeletons gave them protection from injury,[3] as well as created a natural armor.[4]
History
Clone troopers derided the drones as "bugs," but respected them in battle.[4]
