Walkie talkies,[3] also known as radio,[4] were a type of handheld comlink that could be found on the planet At Attin during the New Republic Era. They were used by the younglings Neel and Wim.[1]

Description

Walkie talkies were boxy grey handheld comlinks with extendable antennas that were found on the planet At Attin during the New Republic Era.[1]

History

Walkie talkies could be found on the planet At Attin during the New Republic Era. Around 9 ABY the younglings Wim and Neel made use of walkie talkies while walking through the forest near their homes and taking the comm signs Jedi One and Jedi Two respectfully. After getting trapped in the buried Onyx Cinder with younglings KB and Fern, Wim separates from the group and communicates with them after finding the cockpit of the starship.[1]

Later that year while looking for a way home to At Attin the group of younglings along with pirate Jod Na Nawood separate into teams of two at the Skull Ridge Mountain Hotel & Spa on the planet Lanupa. Wim uses the talkie talkie to call for help when he, Fern and the droid SM-33 first meet the alien Cthallops.[5] Wim would later use the walkie talkie to call for help for him and KB from Tet'niss a trash crab on Lanupa.[6]

Behind the scenes

Walkie talkies first appeared in "This Could Be a Real Adventure," the first episode of the live–action Disney+ series Star Wars: Skeleton Crew which was released on December 2, 2024.[1]
