A waawat was a fierce jungle predator found on Ithor,[1] a planet that was the homeworld of the Ithorian species.[2] Ithorian males sometimes had "Waawat" as their given name.[1]

The waawat was mentioned in the 2003 reference book Galactic Campaign Guide, written by Peter M. Schweighofer and J.D. Wiker and published by Wizards of the Coast for use with the Star Wars Roleplaying Game.[1]
