Vourk ver'Zremp was a male Twi'lek who was on Tatooine during the Galactic Civil War. He worked for Jabba Desilijic Tiure's criminal empire.

Biography

"The Empire thinks you're something special. That's enough to get Jabba's interest. You also were rescued by Han Solo, someone Jabba has a burning interest in. Jabba figures one way or another, you're a gold mine that just fell into his lap."

Vourk ver'Zremp worked in Mos Eisley with Reimos Taligg[1] and Niko Brehe,[2] under the orders of Bib Fortuna. He was a friend of Han Solo and was acquainted with Trehla Keelo.[1] Vourk also acted as intermediary between Jabba the Hutt and the mayor of Mos Eisley, Mikdanyell Guh'rantt.[3] In 1 ABY,[4] a spacer wanted by the Galactic Empire landed in Mos Eisley with Han Solo. Solo advised the spacer to work for Jabba the Hutt and introduced him to Vourk ver'Zremp.[1] Vourk requested the spacer to help Mayor Mikdanyell Guh'rantt, who was indebted to Jabba, with various tasks.[3] He then tasked the spacer to work with Niko Brehe.[2]

Behind the scenes

Vourk ver'Zremp appeared as a non-player character in the 2003 video game Star Wars Galaxies, a massively multiplayer online roleplaying game developed by Sony Online Entertainment and published by LucasArts,[1] prior to its closure on December 15, 2011.[5] Vourk ver'Zremp was added to the game as part of the "Legacy Quest" with the release of the "Publish 25," a.k.a. the "New Game Enhancements," on November 15, 2005.[6]

Furthermore, in the game Ruwan Tokai references the destruction of the Death Star as having occurred one year earlier, and Strongholds of Resistance also places the events of Galaxies' Chapter 9: "The Fury of Exar Kun" in 1 ABY. Lastly, while Chapter 11: "The Battle of Echo Base" features the Battle of Hoth—dated to 3 ABY by The New Essential Chronology—the developers have stated that the portrayal of that battle in the game is intentionally anachronistic. Therefore, the events of Star Wars Galaxies must span from 0 ABY to around 1 ABY.
