The Vosteltig system was located in the Oplovis sector,[1] a part of the New Territories portion of[2] the Outer Rim Territories.[1] In 7 ABY,[5] the Galactic Empire maintained the Vosteltig ship yards[3] in the system.[4] The Sluissi engineer Ten Dorne, who had deserted from the Rebel Alliance years prior, was stationed there.[3]

Behind the scenes

The Vosteltig system was introduced in the StarWars.com Online Companion to the 2009 reference book The Essential Atlas, authored by Daniel Wallace and Jason Fry, which placed it in grid square M-5.[1]

(backup link) (screenshot) Jason Fry, co-author of The Essential Atlas, stated his intention to create homeworlds for numerous species based on context implied from their names. Given this principle, this article makes a similar basic assumption for the Vosteltig ship yards in relation to the Vosteltig system.
  5. Wanted by Cracken is dated to three years after the Battle of Endor. Since The New Essential Chronology dates that conflict to 4 ABY, the placement of the sourcebook translates to 7 ABY.
