Vonium was a precious metal. Some droids displayed in the Kentas gallery of the droid museum on Nubia were gilded in vonium.[1]

In the Star Wars canon, vonium was first mentioned in the comic book Star Wars Adventures Free Comic Book Day 2019, which was written by Cavan Scott and published in 2019.[1] In the Star Wars Legends continuity, vonium was first mentioned in "Snow Job," an article written by Daniel Kaufman and published in 2000.[2]
