Vitsun Weiss[4] was a human male[2] who served in the Galactic Empire with the military rank of general. Weiss commanded a customized All Terrain Scout Transport during the Imperial Era. Weiss had light skin, and sported a jumpsuit and helmet used by AT-ST drivers.[1] Weiss and their forces once cornered a group of rebel forces, whom Weiss called out to to demand a surrender.[3]

Weiss had a spy planted on the rebel transport Freedom Fighter who acquired rebel flight logs from the escape after the Battle of Yavin. The spy delivered the logs to Weiss at an Imperial facility on the planet Felucia, however, the spy was tracked by a rebel squad. The squad encountered Weiss in the facility's hangar, where he commanded atop his customized AT-ST. Weiss utilized this encounter to test his AT-ST's enhanced power field; firing an arsenal at the rebel's ship and preventing their extraction. With no other option, the rebels fought General Weiss and his AT-ST and eventually sent the vehicle collapsing under the weight of its own massive guns. Defeated, Weiss fled from the wreckage of his AT-ST; evading capture.[2]

Behind the scenes

General Weiss debuted in Star Wars canon in the AT-ST Unit Expansion, an expansion pack to Fantasy Flight Gamess Star Wars: Legion wargame that was released in 2018.[5] Weiss originated in the General Weiss Villain Pack for Star Wars: Imperial Assault, a roleplaying game by Fantasy Flight Games which was released in 2015.[6]
