The bloodline of the Sith Lord Darth Victun, a member of the ruling Dark Council of the Sith Empire, was eradicated[2] around the year 4043 BBY[3] on the orders of the Dark Council. The order was issued after Victun and his rival Darth Qalar destroyed the Imperial Citadel on the planet Dromund Kaas in a Kaggath, or ritual Sith duel. Victun and Qalar were both killed by the rest of the Council after their duel, and their family lines were eliminated as further punishment.[2]

The Old Republic — The Lost Suns 2 takes place ten years after the treaty, one week after the mission to Nar Shaddaa, and around the time of the SpecForce Incident. Since the mission and the incident are respectively part of Act I of the Jedi Knight and Republic Trooper's storylines, and the Trooper's Act I occurs concurrent to Act I of the Smuggler storyline, the general events of the Prologue and Act I for all classes can be assumed to occur in 3643 BBY. As the events on Dromund Kaas are part of Act I, and the "Imperial Citadel" codex is acquired on Dromund Kaas, this article assumes that the dates in the Codex are relative to that point in time. Thus, the destruction of the Imperial Citadel four hundred years prior to the game occurs in approximately 4043 BBY.
