Vibroscalpels were a specialized type of vibroblade that had numerous medical applications due to its ability to cut precisely and effortlessly.
Description
Vibroscalpels were medical tools which allowed for precise and effortless incisions.[2] Miniaturized vibroscalpels were standard equipment fitted to MD-4 medical droids to assist them in performing delicate surgery.[1]
History
The medic at the ORO mining facility on Apatros used a vibroscalpel and synthflesh to reattach Gerd's thumb on a miner.[3] Vibroscalpels were used for a variety of surgical procedures at Rimsoo units during the Clone Wars.[4]
The thief Bink Kitik used a vibroscalpel to cut through transparisteel. She wondered if the designers of the medical instrument ever realized how useful it would be to someone in her profession but realized they probably did not.[5] Microsurgical vibroscapels were affixed to the device used to torture Han Solo on Cloud City.[6]
