Vghand was an officer within the Imperial Navy of the Galactic Empire during the Galactic Civil War. Around the time of the Battle of Yavin, Vghand was stationed in the Dantooine system where he investigated a local criminal organization known as the Zel'iphian Slave Traders Guild. Although the Zel'iphian were notorious slavers, they denied any claim to trading slaves. As slavery was officially banned in the Empire, Vghand intended to prove that the Guild was actively trading slaves.[1]
Behind the scenes
Vghand was mentioned in the 2003 video game Star Wars Galaxies: An Empire Divided, a massively multiplayer online roleplaying game developed by Sony Online Entertainment and published by LucasArts,[1] prior to its closure on December 15, 2011.[2] The document mentioning Vghand was added to the game with the release of the expansion pack Jump to Lightspeed on October 27, 2004.[1]
