Behind the scenes

A system containing the planet Vesla first appeared in the potentially unlicensed adventure scenario: "Ship of Fools", from the 1992 magazine, Vortext #3. This particular "Vesla system" featured in the appendix of 2009's The Essential Atlas. With the inclusion of the Vesla system in 2011's officially licensed The Old Republic—The Lost Suns 1, the system previously known as the "Vesla system" became the "Vesla Minor system" and was included in an update for Star Wars: The Essential Atlas Online Companion.
