The Velocity Mercenaries were a group of mercenaries that operated in the Dantooine system at the time of the Galactic Civil War. They controlled an area of the Dantooine system known as the Area Ferionic 7-IK and were based at the Dantooine's Second Star, an iron planetoid located in the Ferionic Nebula. After the Battle of Yavin, the Velocity Mercenaries and the forces of the Galactic Empire battled for the control of Area Ferionic 7-IK.[1]
In space battles, they flew Kihraxz assault fighters, Ixiyen-class fast attack crafts, Rihkxyrk assault fighters, X4 Gunships[3] and YT-1300 freighters.[2]
