Vek Drow

Vek Drow^[2] was an Ishi Tib member of the Alliance to Restore the Republic during the Galactic Civil War against the Galactic Empire.^[1] In 4 ABY,^[3] Drow attended a briefing on board^[1] the flagship of the Alliance Fleet, Home One,^[4] where members of the Alliance leadership, including Admiral Gial Ackbar, Mon Mothma, and General Crix Madine, gave a briefing to the assembled rebels on their plans to attack the Empire's Death Star II superweapon in the Endor system.^[1]

During the briefing, Drow stood at the rear of a group of three other Ishi Tib on the upper level of the flagship's briefing room. The Home One took part in the attack soon after the briefing and the rebels succeeded in destroying the Death Star. Drow had green skin and wore a red tunic with blue shoulderguards over a white shirt at the briefing.^[1]

Vek Drow was created for the 1983 original trilogy film, Star Wars: Episode VI Return of the Jedi.^[1] The briefing room scene was filmed on Stage 5 at Elstree Studios between February 12 and February 25 in 1982.^[5] Holocron continuity database manager Leland Chee identified the Ishi Tib seen in Return of the Jedi as Vek Drow,^[2]^[6] a name that originated in the Star Wars Legends continuity in the 1999 video game adaptation of Star Wars: Episode I The Phantom Menace. In the video game, Drow was an Ishi Tib wearing^[7] the same outfit as the Return of the Jedi character^[1] but present in Mos Espa spaceport on the planet Tatooine during the Boonta Eve Classic^[7] in 32 BBY.^[8] Chee has stated that it is unclear if Drow was canonically present during the race.^[2]
