The vault worlds were a collection of planets. During the Clone Wars between the Galactic Republic and the Confederacy of Independent Systems, they were protected by the InterGalactic Banking Clan's Iotran Guard. The Guard was affiliated with the Condederacy and led by Captain Tost, and was supported by IG-100 MagnaGuards.[1]

Vault worlds were introduced in Rise of the Separatists, a 2019 supplement to Fantasy Flight Games' series of Star Wars Roleplaying products.[1]
