Vanjervalis Systems, or just Vanjervalis[4], was a manufacturer of computer systems for the Galactic Republic during the Mandalorian Wars. Gorman Vandrayk worked for Vanjervalis at some point.
History
Several years prior to the war, it created the concept of the Vanjervalis Chain, which allowed a group of Hammerhead-class cruisers to be linked to a single Inexpugnable-class tactical command ship, developed by Rendili/Vanjervalis Drive Yards.
When the Jedi Covenant leader Haazen learned of this naval system through the Economic WatchCircle, he used the finances of Draay Trust to buy the whole company.[4] Then, using the Covenant's influence, he forced the design past the Admiralty, slipping in an extra feature—a direct line to himself. This led to a disastrous result during the Vindication, when Haazen revealed himself as a servant of the dark side of the Force and forced the Republic Navy to fire upon the members of the Jedi Order.[3]
Millennia later, by the time of the Galactic Civil War, the Vanjervalis shipyards had been incorporated into the Corellian Engineering Corporation conglomerate.[1]
