"I'd love to stay and chat with you, but I have work to do."
―Vandalor[3]

Vandalor was a Chiss male bounty hunter who once shared a romantic relationship with the Dark Acolyte Sev'rance Tann before she chose to apprentice under Count Dooku during the Clone Wars. After their separation, he aligned himself with the Confederacy of Independent Systems, taking on dangerous assignments across the galaxy. On one such mission to the planet Metalorn, he was tasked with locating a cache of cortosis battle droids for the Separatists. However, his mission came to a violent end when he encountered Jedi Knight Anakin Skywalker, who killed him in combat.

Biography

"I'm going to to feel terrible when Vandalor destroys you. Claim your bounty, Vandalor!"
―Wat Tambor[3]

Vandalor was a Chiss male who was the lover and ally of the Dark Acolyte Sev'rance Tann during the early years of the Clone Wars. Like Tann, he entered the service of the Confederacy of Independent Systems under Count Dooku's leadership, acting as an enforcer and assassin for Separatist interests. In 20 BBY[2], Vandalor took part in the Coruscant Insurrection—an uprising in the lower levels of the galactic capital orchestrated to draw the attention of the Jedi Order away from key Separatist operations elsewhere. While operating in the Underlevels, Vandalor crossed paths with Jedi Knight Anakin Skywalker, resulting in a violent confrontation between the two. Though he managed to survive that encounter, his failure to complete his mission weakened his standing with his Separatist employers.[3]

In the months that followed, Vandalor was reassigned to the planet Metalorn, serving as the personal bodyguard to the Skakoan foreman and Techno Union executive Wat Tambor. When Republic forces, led by General Anakin Skywalker, launched an assault on Metalorn to disrupt cortosis production and Separatist droid manufacturing, Vandalor was once again confronted by the Jedi Knight. Despite his combat skill and Chiss discipline, he was ultimately overpowered and slain in battle by Skywalker, bringing an end to his service to the Confederacy and his connection to Sev’rance Tann.[3]

Personality

Vandalor was a disciplined yet ruthless individual, shaped by both his Chiss heritage and his years of service to the Separatists. He possessed a strong sense of loyalty—particularly toward Sev’rance Tann—driven as much by personal devotion as by shared ambition. Calculating and composed in demeanor, Vandalor approached every mission with precision and tactical awareness, preferring efficiency over unnecessary brutality. However, his allegiance to the Confederacy and his willingness to execute their darker orders revealed a pragmatic, morally detached side. Despite his calm exterior, Vandalor harbored a deep resentment toward the Jedi, viewing them as hypocritical arbiters of a corrupt Republic. This animosity ultimately led to his downfall when he faced Anakin Skywalker in combat, where his confidence and determination could not match the Jedi's raw power.[3]

Equipment

In combat, Vandalor employed a jetpack in conjunction with a white polearm. This polearm was unique in that rather than serving as a melee weapon, it was ranged, firing as a blaster from one end and as a pulse-wave cannon from the other.[3]
