The Valfin Labor Camps Insurgence was an event that occurred during the Galactic Civil War after the establishment of the New Republic. It took place at the Valfin labor camps, a penal institution located in the Valfin system[3] of the Outer Rim's Meram sector,[4] within space controlled by the shrinking Galactic Empire.
The insurgence
The Valfin Labor Camps Insurgence saw the first collaboration of Slar-dan ti Gardi with the infamous Quarren slaver Borun Call, who introduced the Twi'lek criminal to the slave trade. During the event, at least three Shistavanen prisoners escaped from the Valfin labor camps, only to be captured by the two slavers, who sold them for a profit.[1]
Eventually, the Valfin Labor Camps Insurgence was put to an end.[2]
Aftermath
Shortly after the quelling of the Valfin Labor Camps Insurgence, Gardi captured Krotorra and Lamorrack, two Wookiees who, unbeknownst to him, were New Republic representatives from Kashyyyk.[2]

(backup link) (screenshot) Jason Fry, co-author of The Essential Atlas, stated his intention to create homeworlds for numerous species based on context implied from their names. Given this principle, this article makes a similar basic assumption for the Valfin labor camps and the Valfin Labor Camps Insurgence in relation to the Valfin system.
