- "Now that those muggers have been dealt with, we need to go after their leader, Vaigon Shinn. Go to his hideout, fight your way through his guards, and take him down."
- ―Peawp R'dawc, to a spacer
Vaigon Shinn's Hideout was a former Imperial forward base on the planet Tatooine.[2] The bunker was used as a hideout by a Nikto chief mugger named Vaigon Shinn, and his band of cronies. It was located on the southwestern outskirts of Mos Eisley.[1] In 1 ABY,[3] Mayor Mikdanyell Guh'rantt's combat expert Peawp R'dawc tasked a spacer to eliminate Vaigon Shinn in his hideout.[1] A short time later, the thug Sleash went into hiding in Vaigon Shinn's Hideout after the crime boss Faeto placed a death mark on his partner Untas.[4]
Behind the scenes
Vaigon Shinn's Hideout was a location in the 2003 massively multiplayer online roleplaying game Star Wars Galaxies,[1] prior to the game's closure on December 15, 2011.[5] Vaigon Shinn's Hideout was added to the game as part of the "Legacy Quest" with the release of the "Publish 25", a.k.a. the "New Game Enhancements," on November 15, 2005.[6]

- ↑ The opening crawl of Star Wars Galaxies: An Empire Divided dates the game to after the events of Star Wars: Episode IV A New Hope, and additionally, Serji-X Arrogantus, who died in Star Wars (1977) 10—the events of which The New Essential Chronology dates to 0 ABY—appears in the game. Therefore, at least a portion of Star Wars Galaxies must be set in that year. Furthermore, in the game Ruwan Tokai references the destruction of the Death Star as having occurred one year earlier, and Strongholds of Resistance also places the events of Galaxies' Chapter 9: "The Fury of Exar Kun" in 1 ABY. Lastly, while Chapter 11: "The Battle of Echo Base" features the Battle of Hoth—dated to 3 ABY by The New Essential Chronology—the developers have stated that the portrayal of that battle in the game is intentionally anachronistic. Therefore, the events of Star Wars Galaxies must span from 0 ABY to around 1 ABY.
