"Time to see who's smart enough to join the hunt. Open fire!"
―Garnac begins the hunt shortly before Vadoo's death — 20?cb=20250116042720 ▶️ (file info)[2]

Vadoo was a green-skinned, bald male Sakiyan with black eyes who lived during the Clone Wars between the Galactic Republic and the Confederacy of Independent Systems.[2] In 21 BBY,[1] Vadoo was abducted by a group of Trandoshan hunters and transported in a cell on a slave ship[2] called the Vermin-Thrax[3] to the moon Wasskah.[2]

On the moon, Vadoo and the other captives, Jedi Padawan Ahsoka Tano,[2] the Snivvian Katt Mol, the Selkath Morgo, and the Terrelian Jango Jumper Lika,[4] were dropped onto an island beach to be hunted for sport. The Trandoshan leader Garnac gave the order to begin the hunt, and in response, his minion Lo-Taren fired on the prisoners with the ship's laser cannon. Morgo was killed almost immediately while Vadoo and the others attempted to escape. Vadoo ran a short distance before Lo-Taren directed the cannon towards Vadoo, ending the Sakiyan's life.[2]

Behind the scenes

Vadoo appeared in "Padawan Lost,"[2] the twenty-first episode of the third season of the animated series Star Wars: The Clone Wars that aired on April 1, 2011. Vadoo was identified in the corresponding episode guide on StarWars.com, which also revealed that a scene was written and shot but ultimately cut for time constraints where Vadoo joined with Katt Mol and a hunter named Simna for survival.[4]
