This language was the native tongue of the Utai on the planet Utapau. The Utai appeared to speak this language exclusively, though most Pau'ans spoke both Basic and Utapese.

This language was characterized as a series of "burbling glottal hoots", as Obi-Wan Kenobi observed while attempting to communicate with an Utai varactyl wrangler in Pau City.[1]
