Wookiees-Transparent

Wookieepedia aspires to be a reliable source for all Star Wars fans to read and draw information from, and as such, fan-created continuity and fan fiction are not allowed within our articles. All in-universe material must be attributable to a reliable, published source.

Do not remove talk page and forum comments, including your own, as they are part of the public record. Remember that you should always sign your comments on talk and vote pages using four tildes, like this: ~~~~.

For an optimal viewing experience, Wookieepedia recommends using the Monobook skin. For help changing your skin preference, see Help:Skin.

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wookieepedian! If you have any questions, see the help pages, add a question to the Senate Hall, visit our official IRC channel, or ask me on my talk page. May the Force be with you! —Omicron(Leave a message at the BEEP!) 14:29, May 17, 2015 (UTC)

Edits to CT-1284

Hi WilkZnika. I looked over your additions to the CT-1284 canon page and made a few adjustments; you can browse through them here. There are a few things that I'd recommend watching out for in the future. The first one was the proper spacing for the infobox (different fields should be separated by lines)—if you switch to the Monobook skin, you have the ability to preload an infobox from the edit window, or you can copy the code on {{Character}} and paste it to the edit window. The other issue was the fact that since CT-1284/Canon is a canon article, it should have links to only canon pages; the links that were added in the infobox were all to Legends pages. This isn't a warning or anything of the sort—I just wanted to suggest looking out for these in the future, in order to make sure you have a proper foundation for article formatting as you continue to contribute. You can always check out the site's Featured and Good articles to see what ideal formatting looks like, at least in terms of wiki coding. Thanks, and let me know if you have any questions! Re: TCW Canon Sources

Hey. Yes, the episode guides on the previous version of StarWars.com, which have since been taken down, can be assumed to be non-canon. All episode, trivia, and concept art galleries on the current TCW guides (as well as the Rebels guides) are canon. For the latter, as a general rule, the majority of content that's currently accessible on StarWars.com is canon—the TV show guides, the film guides, and the Databank entries. The exception to that are the Blog/News posts, which sometimes contain Legend content. Hope that helps. CC7567 (talk) 14:18, June 21, 2015 (UTC)

Canon article creation/expansion

Canon articles are not to be made by copy and pasting content from Legends articles, but simply removing Legends details, links, and sources. They must be written from scratch. While some information may be shared between Canon and Legends, copying from Legends is not always accurate, is poor editing practice (plagiarism is never allowed), and is not to be done.
