Wookiees-Transparent

Wookieepedia aspires to be a reliable source for all Star Wars fans to read and draw information from, and as such, fan-created continuity and fan fiction are not allowed within our articles. All in-universe material must be attributable to a reliable, published source.

Please do not remove talk page and forum comments, as they are part of the public record. Remember that you should always sign your comments on talk and vote pages using four tildes, like this: ~~~~.

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wookieepedian! If you have any questions, see the help pages, add a question to the Senate Hall, visit our official IRC channel, or ask one of our administrators. May the Force be with you!

Re: Page deletion

I'll answer your simple question you asked Culator for you. Several users in IRC noticed that your page had sections that were the same (ie. copy and pasted) from Grand Moff Tranner's page. That also included putting several awards that he had received which you haven't on your page and saying that you were an Inquisitor which, again, you are not. It should be fairly easy to write something yourself. You could say what your favourite area of Star Wars is or how you got into it, for example, rather than copy someone else's. Warning

Before posting talk page comments, please familiarize yourself with the disclaimer at the top of talk pages, {{Talkheader}}. Talk pages are for discussion relating to changes to the article, not for a discussion about the topic in question. Also, being discriminatory (as in your little statement that [Redacted by administration]) will easily get you blocked under the WP:NPA policy here for negative comments directed at a group of people that includes Wookieepedia editors. Please do not do so again. Thank you. CC7567 (talk) 03:03, January 10, 2010 (UTC)

I am sorry if that offened anyone, I did not mean anything by it, I was making light if the Mandos being "manly men", so, I am sorry if that offeded anyone or anything like that, I have nothing aginast gays because I know some and have some in my family, so I am not discrinating toward anyone. Rogue One

Could you please take screencaps of the cast of Rogue One from the end credits, please? (Hobbiton777 (talk) 23:33, December 21, 2016 (UTC))

  • Here is the IMDB page for the movie's cast, best I can do for now. T-888 (talk) 23:37, December 21, 2016 (UTC)

Warning

Several of the images you've uploaded have vague sources. You need to properly source them (not just to starwars.com) and use the proper license category to ensure they aren't pirated and/or illegal images. Failure to due so will result in them being removed. Thanks, <-Omicron(Leave a message at the BEEP!) 23:40, December 21, 2016 (UTC)

-Sorry, they all come from trailers and TV Spots for the film. T-888 (talk) 23:42, December 21, 2016 (UTC)

Inuse template

Hey, if a page has the inuse template at the top of the page, it's best to not make an edit on that page as someone is working on the page and they could lose their edits because of an edit conflict! It's best to wait until the template has been removed before you start editing the page --Lewisr (talk) 03:38, December 26, 2016 (UTC) -OKay thanks. I am currently working on Baze Malbus's article at the moment so I wont interfer with others or anything. T-888 (talk) 03:44, December 26, 2016 (UTC)

Verify

I'm brand new to this and created the page for Lamilla Tion. I found her info in the Rogue One Ultimate Visual Guide and cited the source. I noticed you put a verify request. Did I screw something up? Is there another way to provide proof?

Any help would be appreciated. I've been using Wookieepedia for ages and was looking forward to contributing.

Thanks.

-You need to put it as a reference you can do it one of two ways, the easiest is to in the editor click insert and click reference then type reference name, for whatever your source is. T-888 (talk) 23:32, December 26, 2016 (UTC)

Leia image

Hey T-888. I'd like to point out that having Rogue One, a film still in theaters, as a source for your Leia image suggests it is a screenshot from a pirated copy, and thus violates our fair use claim. If you got it from somewhere else, you will have to put that as the source, otherwise the image will have to be deleted. -- Dr. Porter Resistance starbird (Talk|Contribs) 01:50, January 6, 2017 (UTC)

It was featured on an article about the VFX of Rogue One. http://io9.gizmodo.com/watch-how-ilm-brought-back-tarkin-and-leia-for-rogue-on-1790812003?utm_campaign=socialflow_io9_facebook&utm_source=io9_facebook&utm_medium=socialflow here is the article. The screenshot is taken from the video clip they used in the ABC special about how they did the recreation of Carrie Fisher and Peter Cushing. T-888 (talk) 23:02, January 6, 2017 (UTC)
