Changing information
Hello. Please do not change cited information in articles without a proper source to support your claim. Thank you. Toprawa and Ralltiir (talk) 19:49, October 6, 2015 (UTC)
- hi i already left the statement on the original talk page i did some researches and checked the sources: "i just checked his height on star wars.com and its back at 1,87m. he was mixed behind the scenes with agen kolar who is stated at 1,71 now also at star wars database. so they changed the height of both. i watched the clone wars series and compared his height to other characters. he is clearly taller than clones and as tall as shaak ti, who is also listed at 1,87" how can i leave my sources on the page? i did some research on the correct height and appearance of some chars of tcw and new canonical sources. —Unsigned comment by Starwarsfan1919 (talk • contribs)
- I think part of the problem may be that you are editing these characters' Legends pages. If you are accessing current information from StarWars.com, all of that data pertains to these characters' Canon pages. Legends and Canon information are independent of one another. If you need more help, please come into our chat room. Toprawa and Ralltiir (talk) 20:16, October 6, 2015 (UTC)
- ok, but the original source of the height was only the star wars databank, but the old entry, so there is no pure legends source. —Unsigned comment by Starwarsfan1919 (talk • contribs)
- We treat the old Databank as pertaining to Legends rather than Canon. This is because the Databank was shut down in 2011, three years before the Legends announcement, and also because the Databank contained many Legends-specific entries. Toprawa and Ralltiir (talk) 20:41, October 6, 2015 (UTC)
- ah ok i see it makes sense ^^. thanks for the info —Unsigned comment by Starwarsfan1919 (talk • contribs)
- You're welcome. Toprawa and Ralltiir (talk) 20:47, October 6, 2015 (UTC)
- so should we say then 1.71-1.87 like they did on agen kolars legends page? —Unsigned comment by Starwarsfan1919 (talk • contribs)
- No, because, as you will see from the Agen Kolar page's referencing, his height information comes from two different sources. The current StarWars.com height information for Eeth Koth and Adi Gallia does not apply to their Legends pages. - ok i try the tildes. i thought the canon is part of the legends page, but now i got it Starwarsfan1919 (talk) 21:15, October 6, 2015 (UTC)starwarsfan1919
- kk i read everything but i do not find how i can add a linked source to the references and footnotes like the star wars databank entry of koth. i only found how to link the info from the site to the footnote.Starwarsfan1919 (talk) 22:30, October 6, 2015 (UTC)Starwarsfan1919
