Nice work

Great work on the Hapes articles, by the way. QuentinGeorge 12:04, 12 Jun 2005 (UTC)

I sure hope being born in 1979 doesn't qualify one for an "OMG OLD" tag, or else I'll have to add one to *my* talk page, too. For goodness sake, it was only last year that some rental companies thought I was old enough to risk lending their cars to me . . . jSarek 10:20, 19 Jul 2005 (UTC)

  • It's all in good fun. :) StarNeptune 16:43, 19 Jul 2005 (UTC)
  • I was born in 1984 and damn do I feel old... ;) -- Riffsyphon1024 23:32, 19 Jul 2005 (UTC)
  • LOL...1973 here. *hobbles away leaning on cane* :p WhiteBoy 02:44, 3 Aug 2005 (UTC)

Thanks!

Hey StarNeptune, I just wanted to say thanks for the help with internal Category links. Muchly appreciated! :) --Culix 01:48, 6 Oct 2005 (UTC)

Categorizing and Sourcitizing

Your work is much appreciated in doing such monotonous tasks. It should be known however that this kind of work is the most needed, as we don't have a hundred bots running around.

Also if you're wondering about us being bored stalkers, you caught me. :P -- Riffsyphon1024 17:16, 19 Oct 2005 (UTC)

  • Glad to be of service. :) StarNeptune 04:07, 20 Oct 2005 (UTC)
    • I'm just here to echo Riffs. The amount of "grunt work" you're doing is admirable. New articles get the glory, but anyone can do those, because they're fun. The grunt work - that's not fun, and it's all the more commendable that you're getting it done. jSarek 07:13, 24 Oct 2005 (UTC)
      • Thank you for the comment. I gotta pull my weight around here somehow, and this is the best way I know how. You guys keep creating all those kickass articles, and I'll do my best to sort though them all. :) StarNeptune 07:22, 24 Oct 2005 (UTC)
  • And thanks StarNeptune for adding the {{source}} tags where appropriate, this makes my Project Delta Sauce a lot easier :-) --Azizlight 08:12, 24 Oct 2005 (UTC)
    • It seems I'm not the only one noticing your work around here. Just maybe the slowest to say anything.  :) Good job! (<looks around> ...Now where'd I put that pit droid award?) WhiteBoy 16:06, 27 Oct 2005 (UTC)

  • Congrats on your status as adm. You are a shoe-in for Wookipedian of the Month. Have you ever considered that the Empire is far superior? You guessed it, it's Kir Kanos (The Empire Rocks!).

Misc.

  • Hi StarNeptune. You're the first girl that I know that likes Star Wars :)!! By the way, I was wondering, how do you put pictures on Wookieepedia and change the name of an article. I'm wondering because I'm a new user on Wookieepedia. User: Grievous7318
  • Hey StarNeptune. Sorry about the thing on the Thrawn featured page article. It seems as if it started an entire debate. I do like Thrawn but that is not the only reason I voted for him. Even though I think that your actions were a bit drastic, I accept them. Kir Kanos (The Empire Rocks!)
  • Hey StarNeptune. Sorry I kind of thought you were a guy... I didn't know girls actually like Star Wars...

Multilingual templates

The point is to create a set of templates that are easier to maintain. I'll explain the details at the Community Portal. Existing templates can be edited to match the new categories, but templates marking native speakers should be added like this: [[Category:User en|N]] to comply to the new system. Correspondingly, templates like {{0}} should have the following: [[Category:User en|0]]. The same for levels 1, 2 and 3. - Sikon [Talk] 16:32, 12 Jan 2006 (UTC)

remoh

I was content to drop the argument after your threat but he wasn't. Perhaps a cool off ban is finally in order for him now? He even went so far as to report me for vandalism...--DannyBoy7783 01:07, 30 January 2006 (UTC)

  • No, it was I who reported you for vandalism - mild harrassment. You are both as childish as each other and both need a cool-off ban in my opinion. It seems the only way to get both of you to drop this. --Azizlight 01:13, 30 January 2006 (UTC)
    • Indeed, I read the page wrong. You linked to his page right next to your sig so I read ity wrong. He did, however, respond on his talk page after StarNeptune threated us. I suggest you learn what exactly vandalism is Aziz because what I did is not. What Remoh had his friend do is. Also, this really isn't any of your concern. This is between Remoh and I...and now Starneptune. An admin was aware of the situation so it isn't really your responsibility to to report it falsely as vandalism. Thanks. Laslty, I would like to point out again before someone decides to cool off ban me that I was content to drop this but Remoh and Aziz insist on pushing the issue. I just want my user page left alone, is that asking so much?--DannyBoy7783 01:17, 30 January 2006 (UTC)
      • His friend was blocked, DannyBoy, and Remoh was blocked during the original incident. Harassing him further was worth a warning, at any rate. — Silly Dan 01:23, 30 January 2006 (UTC)
        • Then I apologize. I was never aware that Remoh was banned. Imp said he couldn't because he didn't have proof. Then he said something about sudden death mode, though I have no idea what that means (and didn't see it until just now). See his talk page if you'd like.--DannyBoy7783 01:26, 30 January 2006 (UTC)
          • Oh, sudden death mode just means that he's one vandalous edit away from being banned. --Imp Comlink 02:35, 5 February 2006 (UTC)
  • Okay, I'm leaving Remoh's comment as is, as I don't think the comment was meant to restart the argument. If he disturbs your userpage in any way again, let me know. I also don't want to see either of you arguing again, or else you both get a two day cooldown. StarNeptune 01:41, 30 January 2006 (UTC)
    • Can you remove the vandalism in progress notification that Aziz gave me. I didn't vandalize anything.--DannyBoy7783 01:53, 30 January 2006 (UTC)
      • Sure. He created a new page called Harassment in Progress, which is where stuff like that would belong. StarNeptune 01:55, 30 January 2006 (UTC)
        • Sounds like a good idea. Thanks for removing the vandalism note.--DannyBoy7783 02:03, 30 January 2006 (UTC)

Darkshroud

  • Can you unblock me? I'm trying to add stuff to my own username but it won't let me save anything. It's quite frustrating..--DarkShroud 05:55, 04 February 2006 (UTC)
    • You were blocked for vandalizing Jack Nebulax's user page. Requesting an unblock is a waste of your time. They'll unblock you when they see fit.--DannyBoy7783 22:43, 4 February 2006 (UTC)
      • Actually, if I recall correctly, both he and Mike Kazz were banned for adding senseless crap about a guy named Jeff H. to various articles. I didn't know anything about a vandalization of Nebulax's page until now, but if it occured, then I guess the ban is justified further.
Now DarkShroud, I have a question to ask before I decide to unblock you (which is looking unlikely at this point). My question is: Are you going to actually contribute anything meaningful to this wiki beyond your userpage? I await your answer. StarNeptune 01:16, 5 February 2006 (UTC)
  • Three things. One, i'm trying to finish up my user page before i do anything else.I AM going to contribute as much as i can to this wiki. I do know quite a bit about Star Wars. I only wrote that other crap because i was still new to this wiki and didn't quite understand how everything worked. Two,it was my friend that vandalized Jack Nebulax's page. He was on my name reading my userpage and messed with it. I'm apologize for the immaturity of my friends. Three, that Jeff H. thing was an accident. As i said before, i just started on this wiki. I stupidly thought i was making a username instead of an article. Please write back soon. DarkShroud 09:02 4 February 2006 (UTC)
    • Ok, do you happen to know your IP address? There were several blocked during that incident. StarNeptune 02:10, 5 February 2006 (UTC)
  • Yeah, it's 152.163.100.9 DarkShroud 09:31 4 February 2006 (UTC)
    • Ok, I don't see that exact address on there, but I did unblock some that were close. There are still a couple on there that were not blocked by me, so try it now. If you are still blocked, let me know, and I'll lift those, too. StarNeptune
  • It worked! Thanks!!! DarkShroud
    • Were you aware your friend had messed with Jack's page because I notice that you didn't fix it.--DannyBoy7783 04:58, 5 February 2006 (UTC)
  • Yeah, but as i said i just started this and he's been on for a while. I didn't know how to edit it back yet and he did, but he wouldn't tell me how. It wasn't untill a little while after did my other friend tell me how to do it. By then i couldn't fix it because it kept coming up and saying user blocked. DarkShroud 10:42 5 February 2006 (UTC)
    • He changed one word, you didn't need to figure out how to "edit it back", simply put the word back that Jack had. It looks suspicious is all I'm saying. Be more careful in the future if that really is what happened.--DannyBoy7783 17:50, 5 February 2006 (UTC)
  • It says i was blocked by you again. This time for fanon. What did i do? DarkShroud 9:41 9 February 2006
    • Buy a new computer. Someone is haxoring you!--DannyBoy7783 03:03, 10 February 2006 (UTC)
      • Correct me if I'm wrong, but if you can edit talk pages, you're not actually blocked. Right? — Silly Dan 03:13, 10 February 2006 (UTC)
        • I'm not sure either but that's what I assumed.--DannyBoy7783 03:25, 10 February 2006 (UTC)
  • Wow my head hurts.I can edit user pages and i created an article yesterday but when i went to my username to edit it said i was blocked for fanon. Then today i went on and i can edit again. I don't know what's going on.DarkShroud 9:48 10 February 2006 (UTC)
    • Does your ISP use dynamic IPs? Because if I'm understanding this right, your comp seems to be assigned a new IP address each time you load a new page. There are similar IP addresses to yours still blocked in the block list, but I'm kind of wary of lifting them until I check all of their posting histories. StarNeptune 18:59, 10 February 2006 (UTC)
  • I don't quite follow. I just made two articles yesterday and almost every day it says i'm blocked for something i didn't do. Today it said Force wolf this And yet i can still edit User pages like right now. --DarkShroud 3:29 10 February 2006 (UTC)
    • Ok then. Does anyone else use your computer? StarNeptune 21:16, 10 February 2006 (UTC)
  • Yeah, but no one goes on this site but me.--DarkShroud 4:24, 10 February 2006 (UTC)
    • Were you or any of your friends using your computer to access this site on January 17th? Because that's the day the Force Wolf ban went into effect. StarNeptune 21:31, 10 February 2006 (UTC)
  • No. If the ban was that long ago why did just affect me now? And did you just lift it, because it doesn't say user blocked anymore.--DarkShroud 4:40, 10 February 2006 (UTC)
  • Hello?--DarkShroud
  • WHY AM I BLOCKED AGAIN!--DarkShroud
  • Presumably because someone on your IP address vandalized another page. StarNeptune 03:54, 17 February 2006 (UTC)
  • How can someone get on my IP address?--DarkShroud 11:47 17 February 2006 (UTC)
    • If you're using AOL, then IP addresses are shared. What that means is that AOL is giving you a new IP address each time you load a page, and it gives other AOL users some of the IPs you use as well. Back in January, someone in your IP block was vandalizing this wiki, so we blocked that IP address. When you came on recently, AOL assigned you the IP address of the vandal when you loaded a page here. The only thing I can recommend is when you get a ban message, reload the page and see what happens. If it still says banned, give me the ban message and I'll look at the posting history. StarNeptune 21:17, 24 February 2006 (UTC)
  • Thanks for the info.--DarkShroud 6:40, 24 February 2006 (UTC)
  • Hey, that Note to all AOL users thing was a relief to all users like me who are getting constantly blocked for stuff they didn't do. One thing though: how do you get on the web without signing on to AOL? I have to be on it to get online. It just isn't making sense for me. I don't have Internet Explorer or anything like that... DarkShroud 4:47, 6 March 2006 (UTC)
  • Just to let you know, I'm not on AOL anymore. So i'll probably stop bugging you now. Thanks for everything though.--DarkShroud 6:21, 22 March 2006 (UTC)

Three revert rule

  • What does exceeded the three revert rule mean?--DarkShroud 4:36, 6 February 2006
    • If an article has the same thing readded to it by the same person three times without any explanation or proof (i.e. sources), it's considered fanon and the perpetrator is usually banned. However, if the person explains on the article's talk page why they added what they did and provided sources, then there is usually a debate between Wookieepedians on the talk page of the article. Another alternative is for the admins to lock the page, but it's not usually done unless the article is in an edit war. StarNeptune 22:56, 7 February 2006 (UTC)
  • Thanks for talkin with Mike Kazz but i still don't know what i readded and to what article.DarkShroud3:53, 8 February 2006
