Insider numbering

Hi, Slider. I don't really see the problem with the numbering, it clearly begins with Star Wars Insider 93 and hasn't stopped since then. Therefore, issues 198, 199, and 200, must be the 106th, 107th, and 108th, respectively. Eduardo (talk) 18:39, 15 April 2021 (UTC)

Hi! I understand the confusion, because the math is not as simple as taking 93 from 200 (200 - 93 = 107). In this case, we are also counting Insider 93 as the first issue, so Insider 200 must be the 108th published by Titan. In other words, Insiders 93, 94, 95, 96, 97, 98, 99 and 100 are issues 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7 and 8 respectively, right? Therefore, if Insider 100 is the 8th, then Insider 200 must be the 108th. You can count them one by one if you like, it also confirms what I am saying. Cheers, Eduardo (talk) 23:49, 17 April 2021 (UTC)

Re: Star Wars Insider

Hey, Slider! For Insider articles, only the legacy numbering really matters. If we tried to add Titan's publishing history to every article, we'd be running in circles trying to count the issues properly, and it would be needlessly confusing for readers. (Plus, issue 201 isn't actually Titan's 109th issue, if you take special/annual issues into account.) I understand that other Insider pages are currently keeping count, but I think that's a tradition we can retire. The numbering info is best served at the Titan Magazines and Star Wars Insider pages, imo. - Cwedin(talk) 21:56, 23 April 2021 (UTC)
