CSWE and the Exile's lightsaber

Hey, I caught your message to Cade on my watchlist and figured I'd throw out a response since my copy is handy. The CSWE used this screenshot directly (i.e. they obtained it from Wookieepedia itself), though in my hard copy, the entire image is slightly darker than that screenshot. It can still qualify as cyan, though (using this as a reference) the book version is much closer to the subtractive primary (process/printer's cyan) than the additive secondary (web color cyan) seen in the original screenshot. :) —MJ— Council Chambers 06:09, April 3, 2015 (UTC)

Hi! Thank you for getting back to me and thanks for the info. Would you say that this image accurately reflects the printed version of the CSWE image? ( http://www.rpcentral.us/wp-content/uploads/2015/03/meetra.png ) The concern is that cyan is being called a canon color based on the interpretation of the color in that image. In the 'Revan' novel, the lightsaber is referred to as blue-bladed. Although I understand that the original image is undoubtedly cyan, and cyan could be referred to as "blue-bladed", the original image is not what's being used as canon. To me, the CSWE image looks blue. Since there's no direct reference to the lightsaber color in CSWE and there is a canon reference to it being simply blue, I'm thinking we should drop the reference to cyan. Using the original image as reference in the article seems to be a synthesis rather than a direct citation, so I'm thinking OR. I'd welcome your opinion on the matter. Thanks again. In the interest of centralizing the discussion in one place, and inviting others to join the conversation as well, I'm going to continue this discussion at Talk:Meetra Surik's second lightsaber shortly. :) —MJ— Holocomm 18:54, April 6, 2015 (UTC)
