Wookiees-Transparent

Wookieepedia aspires to be a reliable source for all Star Wars fans to read and draw information from, and as such, fan-created continuity and fan fiction are not allowed within our articles. All in-universe material must be attributable to a reliable, published source.

Do not remove talk page and forum comments, including your own, as they are part of the public record. Remember that you should always sign your comments on talk and vote pages using four tildes, like this: ~~~~.

For an optimal viewing experience, Wookieepedia recommends using the Monobook skin. For help changing your skin preference, see Help:Skin.

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wookieepedian! If you have any questions, see the help pages, add a question to the Senate Hall, visit our official IRC channel, or ask me on my talk page. May the Force be with you! —NaruHina Talk Anakinsolo 07:58, November 20, 2011 (UTC)

User pages

Please make sure that you adhere to Wookieepedia's user page policy. Per item 10, no galleries are allowed. I'd also recommend taking a close look at this section. Please make sure that you are familiar with all of Wookieepedia's policies before you continue to contribute. Thank you. CC7567 (talk) 06:23, November 22, 2011 (UTC)

Green background?

I'm curious as to what green background you are referring? I used a straight white background when I cleared the background and there was no green. - JMAS Jolly Trooper Hey, it's me! 17:01, November 24, 2011 (UTC)

  • Apologies. Didn't realize I forgot to link to the image I was referring to. File:QuarrenSoldier-TCWUK627.jpg. There was no green backgrounds, so what did you do to "improve" the image to warrant re-uploading it? - JMAS Jolly Trooper Hey, it's me! 21:26, November 24, 2011 (UTC)

Appearances

Please note that "Varies" is not a helpful or descriptive addition to Appearances sections of articles. You need to specifically identify creatures to list them in Appearances. If the creatures do not have a confirmed name yet, then they are likely not appropriate to be listed yet. CC7567 (talk) 19:35, November 26, 2011 (UTC)

  • Also, as you were asked to do so earlier, please remove the gallery from your user page. It is against Wookieepedia policy, which if breached is a blockable offense. There are many more creative choices that you can employ for your user page; just take a look at others' pages. Thank you. CC7567 (talk) 19:36, November 26, 2011 (UTC)
    • I can only repeat my earlier statement as a response. If something is not yet named, it's best to wait instead of adding a nondescript "varies" to the article. CC7567 (talk) 19:43, November 26, 2011 (UTC)
      • As is stated on the user policy page, all image galleries are discouraged unless they serve a "purpose useful to Wookieepedia." This policy reflects a community decision, and unless it is revised by the community in a Consensus Track, all users are required to follow the community's rules. CC7567 (talk) 20:03, November 26, 2011 (UTC)
        • I'd recommend taking another look at the user page policy article. The example given is "an organizational function for expanding or cataloging Wookieepedia content," and that in itself is rare, so something along those lines would be the only allowable function for image galleries. Otherwise, displaying mainstream TCW images is not a useful purpose to the site. Please make sure that you are familiar with all of Wookieepedia's policies before you continue to contribute. Be careful

Hey, just a quick one to advise you to be careful of your tone & language, in regards to your comments on Darth Culator's talk page, btw I'm not an admin, just a friendly warning, I'd recommend being a bit more civil in future, you never know how how some admins will react some will tell you off, but others will go proper mental and ban you. --DK Wolf 27 Imp roundel 2ndempire Holonet Channel 04:06, December 17, 2011 (UTC)

Read the user page policy. It disallows galleries. Now, stop ranting on Culator's talk page and go do something constructive. Thank you. 1358 (Talk) 21:53, December 17, 2011 (UTC)

  • A gallery doesn't necessarily equal <gallery> tags. A collection of images is the same as a gallery. 1358 (Talk) 21:56, December 17, 2011 (UTC)
  • It's been removed, but that's not the point. Just because there are violations of a policy, doesn't mean the policy doesn't apply. I suggest you go edit some page, and maybe Culator will eventually unlock your user page. 1358 (Talk) 22:01, December 17, 2011 (UTC)
    • No, I can't do that. That's up to Culator—and as I said, he probably will not do it until you have proved you are a constructive editor. Remember that your userpage is not your primary contribution. 1358 (Talk) 22:08, December 17, 2011 (UTC)
      • Please read our User page policy. You are allowed to list your personal user images, and you are allowed to keep galleries for productive things, such as for future projects. Several users have so called happy caption pages, where they have images with funny captions. This is allowed, but your user pages and subpages should not be your primary contribution. As long as you are a constructive member, you are allowed to have things like this. 1358 (Talk) 10:03, December 18, 2011 (UTC)

Blocked

Dialog-error You have been blocked from editing for 1 month for your violation of our No personal attacks policy and our civility guidelines. Ironically, you were already warned for this by another user who was just blocked for this exact thing. You should have listened. To contest this block, please contact the blocking administrator with the reason you believe the block is unjustified. Toprawa and Ralltiir 04:14, December 22, 2011 (UTC)

Uploading

While all good-faith contributions to Wookieepedia are appreciated, we ask that you please refer to Wookieepedia:Images, which can be found under the "other policies and guidelines" link in your welcome message, and familiarize yourself with the sourcing and licensing requirements before uploading any more images. The only uploading method supported by Wookieepedia, Special:Upload, will prompt you to enter this information. Wikia's non-standard upload forms are not supported under Wookieepedia policy, and ignorance of the uploading rules is not an acceptable excuse. Continued violation of the image policy or falsification of any information in an upload description are considered vandalism and will likely result in a block. Thank you. 1358 (Talk) 14:22, February 10, 2013 (UTC)
