Double check
Hi, when you get a chance, could you double check my transcription at File:TheDuelWhiteboardDrawing.jpg? I'm not a 100% sure everything is correct there. Thanks! Stake black msg 08:14, 26 October 2025 (UTC)
- I apologize for the delayed response. Since the writing on the whiteboard was scribbled, so I'm not a 100% sure everything too, but I've double check your transcription and made corrections where I could. Also, I'm Japanese and not very familiar with writing English sentences from scratch, so my wording might be awkward. Sorry about that...
- The character for “富” before correction should correctly be “畑.” The characters on the board appear that way because they are scribbled.
- Based on the CGWORLD article and the content of The Duel, the characters “ボ” and “サ” on the whiteboard can be interpreted as abbreviations for “ボス”(Boss) and “サムライ”(Samrai), respectively, meaning Kouru and The Ronin. In the Japanese version of The Duel, Ronin is referred to as ‘お侍さん’ (O-Samurai-san). Incidentally, the character “ド” likely stands for the droid B5-56.
- I have changed the character for “人々”(People) to “人”(Person) in the original text. This is because in The Duel, only a single bandit trooper appears before Kouru and The Ronin during their river battle, making ‘people’ an inappropriate fit. The character for “人,” referring to the trooper, appears to have had a manga iconography added to it, signifying the impact (probably from a Missile launcher hitting B5).
- The kanji to the left of “かくし寺” is clearly not “滝.” It looks like “滂” (Gushing), but the scribbled handwriting makes it impossible for me to determine the exact character. I will correct it once I find out.RR4-PS (talk) 04:26, 27 October 2025 (UTC)
- Thank you! 大変助かりました!Stake black msg 05:38, 27 October 2025 (UTC)
