Re: Adminship

Please note that users cannot self-apply to be administrators—they must be nominated by someone else, normally a current administrator, and must then be approved by the entire community via a vote. Please also note that time on the site is only one requirement for being an administrator—others include a healthy, regular, and demonstrated involvement with the site community at large; maturity; an innate knowledge of the site's entire policies and workings; and "at least some major article contributions." While adminship is a good goal to have in mind, it should never be one's sole goal—it is a huge responsibility and is only given to those whom the community feels deserve it.
