Images

Hi MurfelDurvel. I notice twice you've uploaded images with the CSD tag in the description. Can I ask why? If you think they need deleting then surely the solution is not to upload them in the first place? Ayrehead02 (talk) 11:19, June 30, 2020 (UTC)

  • Ah, I see what's happened here. The tag was automatically applied because you selected "I don't know" under licensing. Please refrain from uploading any image you cannot properly source in future. Continuing to do so could lead to you being banned. Ayrehead02 (talk) 11:25, June 30, 2020 (UTC)
    • On your latest image you've managed to fill out licensing, but please make sure to fill out the other applicable fields. I'd advise looking at the file you're replacing in order to see what needs adding. Ayrehead02 (talk) 11:35, June 30, 2020 (UTC)
      • My issue was not with the existence of the trade paperbacks, just with the fact you failed to fill in any of the fields on your image uploads. The upload form has a guide at the top which I suggest you read. You still haven't filled out the other required fields on your River of Chaos image, so please correct this. If you take a look at the file info for the infobox image of Star Wars: River of Chaos, you'll see what kind of information you need to add. Ayrehead02 (talk) 14:05, June 30, 2020 (UTC)

Links

Plaese use the appropiate templates like the one for {{Amazon}}. Also do not add every single product page to the external links, there's only need for the official website--DarthRuiz30 (talk) 23:21, June 30, 2020 (UTC)

  • Also add categories for all the images that you're uploading.--DarthRuiz30 (talk) 23:25, June 30, 2020 (UTC)

Blocked

Dialog-error You have been blocked from editing for 1 day for adding images without knowing their source and then changing links without providing the exact source. You can't be changing from a link to another just because one its more official. You need to add a proper source where that image is found at. To contest this block, please contact the blocking administrator with the reason you believe the block is unjustified. --DarthRuiz30 (talk) 23:35, June 30, 2020 (UTC)

  • I'm giving you another general warning regarding the images you're uploading. You can't just reupload an image to a better or different version without modifying the file page's source field to indicate where you're finding this new image. That's tantamount to just uploading an image with no source at all. I see you've done this a couple dozen times already, which is hugely problematic. If you continue to do this, you will be blocked from editing again. If you have questions, please ask them. Toprawa and Ralltiir (talk) 16:27, July 5, 2020 (UTC)
    • Thank you, we appreciate your effort to go back and fix them. You ask very good questions. If you're just scanning it from your personal copy, you should not add a URL to a website. Only add a website link if you're actually taking it from that website. For personal scans, I would just add the name of the source and then put (physical scan) next to it in the source field; for example: "Tales of the Jedi 5 (physical scan)" or "Tales of the Jedi 5 (digital copy)" if you have a downloaded digital or eBook copy. I hope that answers your questions. Toprawa and Ralltiir (talk) 18:55, July 5, 2020 (UTC)
      • No problem. You should never be afraid of making mistakes as long as you're willing to learn and ask questions, which you clearly are, so we really do appreciate that. Please feel free to join our IRC or Discord channels for more direct help. Toprawa and Ralltiir (talk) 19:38, July 5, 2020 (UTC)

RE:Help

Hi, thanks for taking your time to ask about the issues about the articles that you created.

1.-First for the Trade paperback you need to provide proof of existance by either linking the Dark Horse Comics page or an Amazon page for the TPB.
2.- For the Dark Dragon Books article, right now the article is fine since it provides the official webpage and access to the Star Wars collection.
3.- For the images, you need to link directly to where they're found. If the following link has both images then that's the link needed in the source field, instead of just starwars.com

If you have more questions let me know.--DarthRuiz30 (talk) 23:34, July 2, 2020 (UTC)

  • You need to use the templates. Use {{Amazon}} when citing external links and {{SW}} for articles from SW.com like the one you're tying to use for the images. Also add a backup link, to both the amazon links and the star wars article.--DarthRuiz30 (talk) 09:04, July 3, 2020 (UTC)
